Hello Rich!

While the product promises "Pasteurized For Your Safety" across the lid and on the label; and the ingredient list reads: "Pasteurized Apple Cider And Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)", there is no mention of the method or process used.

The label also suggests "Visit our website at www.musselmans.com", perhaps the answer can be found there, or a more direct contact able to give a definitive answer.

Good question Rich especially if you are looking to make hard cider.  I checked the manufacturer's site and couldn't find any reference to the process but would thing it was heat pasteurized which is faster and cheaper to process.

what pasteurization process is used in production?

No, it is pasteurized.  It will need to be refrigerated after opening.  This is an excellent cider and Musselman&#39;s makes many good products from USA grown fruit.  

To maintain freshness, you can keep in a cool dark area of your pantry.  Sunlight will affect all juices so avoid the sunlight and heat and this cider will last until the next season.

yes you need to refrigerate, but I also take mine to work in my reusable glass bottle and it stays fresh all day

Bests I've ever had since I was a little girl. Taste and looks more natural than any bodies juice. Soooo much better for you too. I just don't like that too many times WALMART is "out of stock". So I advise to always keep a spare hidden in your pantry like I do. I've become addicted to Musselman Apple Cider. You'll see try some.

This stuff is great ... that's assuming you're able to locate in store!
You might find it in the Juice Isle OR you may find it at the end of an open Meat freezer OR you may find it on your way to check-out.
My wish (since such an excellent product): keep this drink available SOMEWHERE in the store at all times.

Try to keep Musselman's stocked

This is my favorite apple juice. I wish that it was available year round, but to my knowledge it is not. So this is one of the things that I look forward to this time of year. Because it's sold for such a short time, I purchased five boxes of it this time. Sense doing so, I have yet to see it restocked in stores.

I purchased item  put it in fridge and when I took it out to open it the bottom fell out and spilled all over my kitchen floor. What a waste. I've purchased this several times before and that never happened but this time it did. Please do something about reinforcing the bottom so it doesn't happen to anyone else again.

Misfortune

One of my gallons was busted at delivery.

I shook it up really well. I even heated some on the stove and then stirred it up with a frother because it didn't look like it was dissolving the flavor and all the sediment settled into the bottoms so quickly that this cider was watery apple juice with cider sediment in the bottom of the cups. I added extra clove and cinnamon for flavor and I am going to try pouring it on slushie ice next to see if that helps hold flavor together but my expectations are low. I like that it is USA grown apples.  I regret this purchase and wouldn't buy it again.

Apple cider that separates the juice and flavors

After buying other brands no longer in stock, I purchased this brand and it is not good. It tastes like watered down apple juice. I won't buy again.

Bad Apple Ciider

Clean apple juice is better than this stuff. It was so gross I would not recommend. Flavorless sugary just not good

Disgusting

After thoroughly shaking this jug and then trying it, it tasted watered down and a lot like apple juice. If you just pretend it's apple juice it'll taste normal in your mind. But it's definitely not the normal cider taste.

Tasted like Apple juice NOT cider 😔

Previous bottles were really good.  The bottle I got today didn't even smell like apples, bad smell.  Had a very off taste similar to what you'd think dish water would taste like.
