Rated 1 out of 5 by from Over Looked Details By Ryobi I would give this tool a five-star rating but I want to get RYOBI's attention to this overlooked little problem they have with this tool. Everything is fine until you insert a 9ah battery. The cover that protects the battery can not close as you can see in the pic below. It works well with other batteries up to 4ah, with that said I did not try any other battery between 4ah and 9ah. This is not a big deal if you don't use this tool for professional everyday use. I hope they come up with another way to attach the battery cover in the future. I do say again this is a great tool regardless...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Idea, but.. The concept is certainly good but the way Ryobi built this one leaves much to be desired. There is plenty of adjustability which is good. The battery compartment is well built and keeps the battery dry. Here is were it goes down hill. You must hold the power button for it to function. The pressure to do this is quite high. When moving the scrubber across a surface it is easy to let go of the button. I found that I could only hold it on for about a minute before my finger tired. I used the scrubber to help wash my RV but after about 5 mins, I put it down and went with a brush on a pole. Much faster and lighter to operate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent cleaning tool I followed this product when it was first introduced and I held off buying it because of cost and some poor ratings. I saw it available without the battery and charger for 118.88 and I bought it to try for myself as I have batteries and charger. I first checked the power of the brush drive which is very good not like rated be a prev. Customer. It cleans our condo flashings superior better than we coul do with our pressure washer. Our maintenance man said he hasn’t been able to clean our flashings like this brush did in the past 20 years of trying. We have many more places to use this time tool. Thanks to the engineers that designed this. The waterproofing is a great asset for cleaning the water ring on our decorative fountain pond.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from hard to use . I love Ryobi . At first I was so excited about this tool, I thought to replace my pressure washer as it generated too much water. but this tool did nothing better than my hand scrub for the price I paid. it basically did nothing . and it's hard to use as it rotate it always spin off the direction. but to be fair I didn't use the black brush. I am not sure I should invested more accessories for this tool. I would return it and spend the money on other Ryobi tools.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Stopped working after 7 minutes This is a new record, tool stopped after 7 minutes! Now wont turn on, just makes a click, doesnt matter which battery i put in it. This is the most disappointing product i have had yet from ryobi. avoid like the plague

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another solid and well-built Ryobi product. I have gotten several hours of continuous use without an issue. I like it. It doesn't spin super fast, but I don't want that anyway because the soap will fling off the brush. Also, when I hold the power button down for a few seconds, it stays on. That is a handy feature. I dip the whole brush head and motor into soapy water and then scrub away on my surface. By my experience, another solid and well-built Ryobi product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Poor Switch Design Just received my scrubber and I am using it to clean my deck. One fault mentioned many times in the reviews is the switch design. I thought "how bad can it be?" and ordered it anyway. Well, the design is really bad. After a few minutes using it, my fingers were so sore, I had to stop. I thought about this for a while and decided I could come up with something better. With a couple of small pieces of wood, a clamp and a small rubber plug, I built a "whole hand" trigger that works perfect. Now I can use it as long as I like without discomfort.

I have Linoleum flooring and even though the lines in the pattern are not deep, there’s a build up of dirt that light hand washing won’t clean. Will this toll do the job?

Asked by: Puppyworld
Yes with a light warm soap mixture.

What is the approximate runtime with a 4.0 battery?

Asked by: Kbar
I have never timed this unit because of every job I did no battery change was needed. This unit seems to be very low power consumption.

I have some wooden posts (8” x 8”) in a porch to scrub … wondering which head is best for a good scrubbing? The wood is pine and relatively soft. Also want to use it on vinyl siding and a boat hull.

Asked by: Brian
I purchased mine to clean aluminum siding and used the yellow brush. It worked very well. It is not a high speed brush so it did not scratch or mark the paint. If your posts do not have many splinter's to catch the soft bristles It should work well for all your applications. Use plenty of soap or cleanser. Rinse with a hose.

Is it gentle enough on the finish to scrub your car with using a soft bristle brush?

Asked by: Zeke
Possibly but it is heavy and I think would be awkward to use on a car.
