Rated 5 out of 5 by from So many compliments! This product gave us the genuine wood accent wall look we were hoping to achieve. We loved the fact that these boards are reclaimed and come with a lot of character. Taking the advice of a past review, it is wise to open all the boxes, sort by thickness, length, and colour so you can visually balance all of these elements as you install. We were careful to stagger our joints. My husband and I worked on this wall over two days, using finishing nails and an air gun.

We were planning on doing a pallet wall but the idea of doing all that extra work before we could even install became daunting. So...we chose this product and boy did we choose right! We took the advice of previous reviewers who stated you should unpack all boxes to mix and match color and size before installation and we found that that worked really well for us too. Great stuff. Love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great authentic barn boards, easy to install. Great authentic barn boards, installed easily with construction adhesive and brad nails. Make sure to open all boxes and sort by width before starting to do install, so you get a more random widths on your wall pattern. Brad nails were needed as well as construction adhesive due to a few boards having a bit of a warp, but this is expected due to these being reclaimed wood. All in all a great option if you want something real instead of “flooring” on your wall like other non reclaimed barn boards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feature wall These boards made an awesome back splash in our kitchen. When you open the box you are a little underwhelmed with the colour. It’s very dull. But as soon as you apply a polyurethane stain the colours popped! We get so many complements on the back splash. It’s a good idea to open all the boxes at once and pick out pieces for your pattern. Very rustic and unique!

The barn board wall panels from Home Depot look great if you like rustic warm wood tones of grey, brown, chestnut, yellow. The boards are rough rustic so look great with most decors. The colours vary so expect a random colour pattern and widths. If you intend to paint grey on adjoining walls be aware that the wood reflects a lot of blue.

Could this product be installed on an accent wall with only a strong adhesive? The accent wall was built using metal studs so a brad nailer would have no effect.

Yes, no problem to use a strong adhesive only. Perhaps wait till the row is all settled (glue dried) before doing another row on top.

Is this real wood - looking to use it for a small wall to hang our dart board on.....Dont want to damage darts.

Yes this is real wood. It has been reason quite thin. But it would be fine around a dart board.

how does it work if you only do one wall and adjacent wall doesn't have it? Any nosing required?

You don't need to put a molding but if you prefer to put one, you can use a metal trim or any other prefinished trim.

Can I use as an outdoor accent wall? It would be under roofing.

I would not recommend the use of this wood in an outdoor setting. The wood planks are already deteriorated (which gives it the old look) and they would likely rot quickly outside.

I am installing this on a wall that has a light switch and outlet. Are they extensions that help keep them flush with the boards after installed? Another question, the one end of the wall is not in corner, is there a trim something that can be applied ?

INSTALLATION GUIDE https://barn-wall.com/?lang=en Installation Guide It is strongly recommended to wear gloves to avoid splinters 1. Apply a dark-colored primer on your wall before installing your barn wood boards. 2. Determine the direction in which you chose to install your boards. 3. Make sure to start the first row with a level. 4. Use the same boards width to complete a row. 5. Fix the boards to your wall using finishing nails. Construction adhesive can also be used. What you need to know about barn wood: 1. Boards can be uneven even after trimming. They can also show small holes. 2. Boards can be split in 2 during unpacking which will not show once installed. 3. Each box contains boards of varying lengths up to 4 feet. 4. Board thickness varies from 9/32 in. (7.5 mm) to 13/32 in. (10.5 mm) ***May contain wood dust.
