Don't Miss Molly Tuttle!
by Uncle TC on 11/27/23Molly Tuttle and Golden Highway put on an inspiring and virtuosic performance at Washington DC's 9:30 Club on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. The band is at the peak of their powers, and was clearly having a great time playing together. Highlights were numerous, most notably from the recent City of Gold album (including the geographic trilogy of El Dorado, San Joaquinn and Yosemite) as well as the glorious cover of White Rabbit. It's tough to single anyone out among the outstanding band, but fiddler Bronwyn Keith Hynes and mandolinist Dominick Leslie managed to stand out, particularly on their solos during Castilleja. And Molly Tuttle herself exuded class, talent--we went home knowing we had seen a special performance (and vowing to see her again).
