This iconic combo has been a staple for cash-strapped New Yorkers for over 40 years! Snappy-skinned all-beef hot dogs are loaded with sauerkraut, onions in sauce, and spicy mustard, tucked into a locally-baked bun, and accompanied by Gray’s signature frothy Papaya Drink. It’s tart, creamy, and made with real papaya purée, and it perfectly complements their iconic hot dogs!
For five decades, Gray’s Papaya has been THE place for hungry New Yorkers to get their hot dog fix. And if anyone knows a good hot dog, it’s New Yorkers! Founded by Nicholas Gray back in 1973 and today run by his wife Rachael, Gray’s is still holding down the bustling corner of Broadway and 72nd Street all these years later, where folks from all walks of life, at all hours of the day or night, can grab a perch at the counter and enjoy a hot dog or three. Gray’s signature franks are top-quality and natural-skinned, and get browned on the griddle, tucked into a soft white bun, loaded up with toppings, and washed down with sweet & frothy Papaya Drink. It’s simple, perfect, and timeless.
