About Dur e Aziz Amna

Pakistan-born Dur e Aziz Amna's writings are inspired by her cross-cultural experiences in South Asia and the U.S. Her debut novel, American Fever, tells the coming-of-age story of a Pakistani Muslim girl in rural Oregon. An English Literature graduate from Yale College, she worked at hedge fund Bridgewater Associates before turning to writing full-time and joining the University of Michigan's Helen Zell Writers' Program. She has written for Al Jazeera, Financial Times and New York Times, and won awards including the 2019 Financial Times/Bodley Head Essay Prize.
