The Purdue Products Betadine Antiseptic Surgical Solution for Horses, Cats, Dogs and More is a topical, water-based antiseptic microbicide used to kill bacteria, fungi and viruses. Use this solution on companion animals, including dogs, cats and horses.
- For external use only
- Ideal for preparation of the skin prior to surgery
- Antiseptic sudsing skin cleanser is a germicidal cleanser used for preoperative and postoperative scrubbing and washing
- Contains 5% povidone-iodine (0.5% available iodine)
- Preoperative prepping of skin and mucous membranes
- Prevents bacterial infection
- Emergency antisepsis of minor lacerations, abrasions and burns
- Postoperative application to surgical incisions
- For use on companion animals, including dogs, cats and horses

I don't go anywhere with out Betadine!

My Quarter Horse needed stitches and a drain tube in place back in July, 2015.
The first thing we used was sheet cotton, drenched down with water and added a couple squirts of Betadine. This is a wonderful product and now I will be using it for & to prevent and get rid of my horses Cellulitis (Leg Infection). Thank you!

I wanted and ordered the surgical scrub for a curbside pick up, but when I got home I realized that it is the solution, not scrub. I called the store to let them know they had the wrong product advertised on their site.

The item # for this scrub and the solution are the same in Tractor Supply inventory. I ordered the scrub online and when I hurried all the way to pick it up in the store, they handed me the solution. They are 2 completely different products! Why do they have the same item # in Tractor Supply? They did not have the product I ordered and paid for. Such an inconvenience to me. I really needed this surgical scrub for an emergency health situation for my horse. This is a great product and I counted on Tractor Supply to fulfill my order. This caused me so much stress because I had to go searching around for it when I should have been giving my horse the first aid he needed. Horrible inventory management here.

Scrub and solution are not the same thing!

I ordered the scrub / because despite the info on the website, my local TS had only the solution. I desperately needed the scrub to treat my horses scratches. 4 days late the wrong product shows up. Very very very frustrating. Concluded sleuth the lovely helpful folks at my loc store that TS.com inventory mgrs don’t know the difference between these products. Pls keep your horse owner customers happy by learning it!
