Book Overview

In this book, we demonstrate how to combine Simple Sentences to form Compound and Complex Sentences, all in the form of both text and Logic Equations. We use two forms of logic: Object Logic (propositional logic) and Attribute Logic (commutative element logic), each of which constitutes an algebra of sets (i.e., Boolean algebra of many atoms, not just 0's and 1's).
We examine 17 Sample Sentences (six in this Vol.1 and 11 in Vol.2) that are representative of sentences found in real finance contracts, including representations, covenants (affirmative and negative), and events of default. In the end, we will connect all of the Sentences to form a Contract Equation. There are many possible Contract Equations, but in this case, we create a "Default Equation" to help determine in an automated fashion whether a party to a contract is in default.
