Melt

I only recently started my cheesless life. It has been extremely hard and extremely sad. I stopped eating cheese because it was causing a lot of inflammation for me. I think the best option if you were looking for vegan cheese after eating real cheese is to wait about a week and a half after not eating cheese and then try this cheese.  I unfortunately am not a fan of hamburgers. I need some cheese on that adding this cheese to burgers is really nice. It melts very well. I wouldn't suggest it for deli slices though because it does have a very strong taste when cold.

From a cheese addict

I was so pleasantly surprised by how close the texture when melted and the taste to real cheese it's on the more mild end. But  it dosnt have any nasty after taste like other dairy free cheeses I've tried this one Is my new go to it's creamy and has a cheese pull !!

Delicious!!

I eat plant based food, no dairy.  This is the best tasting cheese.  Walmart is the only store that I have been able to buy it from.  I usually buy 2 pkgs. because sometimes it takes a while to get back in stock.  It doesn’t have a strong flavor.  It is smooth and creamy, melts too.

Great taste

I bought this along with several other vegan meats and cheeses.  My express purpose was to evaluate whether or not the tastes and textures were good enough that I could realistically incorporate more plant-based foods into my diet. While some of the items were downright disgusting, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Chao has a mild taste with no lingering aftertaste or strange mouth feel. I can definitely see using these slices on sandwiches or by themselves as a snacking cheese. I plan on trying a grilled cheese with them next to further evaluate melting potential.

Surprisingly good

This cheese taste better than other non-dairy cheeses I've tried until I tried great value shredded non-dairy cheese. I was totally surprised. if you read the ingredients label on these non-dairy cheeses, you know none of them are healthy. But if you miss your cheese try the Great value shredded non-dairy. At least it doesn't empty your wallet like some of the others.

It doesn't identify as NONGMO on my package(false advertising)

pro: product has good "pull" good for grilled cheese. 
cons:  needs other flavor varieties such as pepperjack or other spicey cheese. it is very bland in terms of flavor, but it will trick your brain with its gooyness. just not your taste buds with its lack of flavor notes. its a 3 for me.

Eats like a cheese sammy

i ordered shredded cheese. i was notified via email it was not available and it was substituted with this variation. my husband went in after work and they had plenty. The person gathering my order didnt look.

we complained to management because this is not the first time this has happened.

unacceptable

Terrible taste, couldn't get past the first bite on my sandwich.  Took it off the sandwich but the flavor had already rubbed off on the rest of my sandwich ingredients. Had to throw everything away. Will continue looking for a vegan cheese by other brands.
