Our bartender Mike was phenomenal. The one thing that needs to be addressed is size of pool and pool area. Could never get chairs or enjoy area. Needed a place to relax and swim. Could also use thicker blankets for the beds. But we will definitely be back.

I was extremely disappointed in the room. I booked a standard queen room on a TU night in April. The hotel is not full and there are plenty of rooms . But they put us in a 1st floor handicap accessible room with a connecting door on the first floor 2 doors from the elevator. I know there were much better rooms because when we checked in they inquired on another room but it wasn’t ready . We checked in at 6:00PM.! And I texted our arrival time at noon. Even though I’m only here for 1 night I feel that this is a sub-par accommodation especially for the price that we paid and the fact that the hotel is not full. I don’t feel that this is the kind of customer service that would keep me as a customer or recommending to my family and friends . All in all I have to say that I’m disappointed in overall accommodations.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at Opal Key. Our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The hotel staff were helpful and pleasant. We were not particularly impressed with the restaurant and lounge, but they were adequate and there are a lot of options within walking distance. We paid extra for an ocean view room. I wouldn’t bother if we return. There was a massive (and ugly) cruise ship parked next to the hotel and blocking our view much of our stay.
