I enjoyed being right next to the Indiana Dunes State Park and the Indiana Dunes National Park. We also drove approximately 20 miles to attend the LaPorte County 4-H Fair, and it was easy access from the connecting highways in Chesterton. It is a very quaint little town, with wonderful dining and entertainment options. We ate at Lucrezia's in downtown Chesterton, and I would absolutely give the establishment 5 stars! The food and service for superb, eating "al fresco" while enjoying time spent with friends was priceless. I would recommend to everyone!

All area hotels are very close to the Dunes National Park.
All area hotels are very close to the Dunes National Park. Each hotel is supported very well by private businesses providing quality meal selection and even grocery shopping. The people who are employed in this town's tourist industry are really customer focused. They understand the inherent values of satisfying, if not exceeding, customer expectations.

Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and Indiana Dunes State...
Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and Indiana Dunes State Park hiking trails have something for every skill/activity level. Cowles Bog trail is rigorous at times but well worth it for the experience & views. We enjoyed so many of the local, nearby restaurants. Gastro 49 & Suzie's Cafe were our favorites.
The Old Lighthouse Museum is a fun stop with a lot of local history that is unexpected.

The apartment was very comfortable and clean and decorated very nicely. We played hard while in the area and the beds were very comfortable for our nightly rest. The shower was great! No need to wait for hot water and the water pressure was fantastic.

I only went to one gas station (BP, I believe), one fast food place (Taco Bell), and one restaurant (Sunrise). The gas station was fine, Taco Bell was faster and nicer than most I've been to, but Sunrise was the real gem. Great service, WONDERFUL food, and decent prices. Would for sure go back :-)

The market in the park on Saturdays, the book shop, red cup Cafe, the Chesterton art Center, the little pottery shop where you can buy a bowl and glaze it yourself. Lots of thrifting stores..Vegan cafe and bakery, the Port drive in..
Perfect location, great price. The room looked freshly renovated. Lovely view, even the art in the room was beautiful photography of the Indiana Dunes. It was such a nice touch. There were makeup remover wipes in the bathroom! The lighting inside the room was very nice too. The blackout curtains actually blocked the sunlight. Thought we didn’t end up needing the microwave or fridge this time, it’s so nice to have.
Very nice hotel. Renovations were ongoing so common areas of the hotel were not shown to their best. Room was a good size and updated. Very comfortable.
Bob Evans restaurant is right next door. Other restaurants were very close.
Hotel located close to the highway.
Breakfast was confusing. We weren’t sure what was included in our stay because you can pay extra for a full breakfast.
We loved everything about Riley's Railhouse. The Railhouse was so unique. I loved all the train decor. The breakfast was very good, varied, and amazing. The location was perfect for visiting Indiana Dunes National Park and there were lots of good restaurants and an ice cream shop in walkable range in Chesterton. Perfect location for the Park, restaurants, lovely, and great hosts!
The best feature for this hotel is the staff. They were exceptional and quite friendly. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable . The hotel is located in a quiet place with ample parking. The parking can even accommodate some lighter tractor tailors. The facility is also close to a shopping area. It's about 20 minutes away from Indiana dunes park.
Hotel looks ok from outside but the room is quite small and everything is very basic and kinda dated. The carpet has lots of stains and looks dirty. I expected something better when you paying more than $200 for a night.
We did not eat breakfast in the hotel as there are lovely cafes in Chesterton. The dining area is very open and did not encourage us to stay and eat. The room was very big and the bed was comfortable.
Lovely sitting area, pleasant coffee/eating area, coffee ready early in the morning, large smart TV, disabled guest accommodations, pet friendly, reasonably priced.
