Couldn’t have been any better. Very comfortable cottage with everything you need. Fabulous log fire with plenty of wood in the shed. Easy few minute walk to one of many beautiful beaches. Cycling is the best way to see the island.

Beach View Cottage is a 'beachy' 'chic' cottage in Scotlands' best kept secret Island of Gigha. Bright, open planned cottage. Enjoy watching the yachts sail by from the lounge . If you are lucky you may see local wildlife such as whales, seals and birds of prey. The secure garden is a sun trap but beware a cow might pop over to say 'moo'. The cottage is next to the best beach on Gigha. You can leave the car as it is within walking distance to everything. Bikes are also good for exploring.
Hey I'm Sarah. We are a family of six. Mum, Dad and four children. We love to sail, kayak, swim and love anything involving the sea. We love Gigha (secret place to spend good family time) and have been coming for generations. Eating good food such as Gigha local fish and shellfish is a real privilege. We eat and drink well and use the freezer to stock all our favourites so once you are here there is no need to visit main land. The children spend their days on the secluded beach crabbing and fishing and always end up in the water. They love to explore the whole island and get lots of freedom to do so. We love to go for a run and finish with a swim at 'Jonny's Shore' (next to our cottage). The local people make this Island welcoming, especially to the children who are always at the beach catching crabs or at the swing park. The Branton's are away on a oversea adventure at the moment but still come back to Gigha regularly.
Bikes are the best way. Our home is within walking distance to the shop, the Gigha hotel and the Boat House cafe bar. The charming and unique 9 hole golf course, perched above the island offers spectacular views of Isla, Jura, Cara and the Kintyre Peninsula. The hills of Antrim in Ireland are easily seen when the weather is fair. The water is so tranquil here it literally pulls you in. Thankfully the outdoor rental center satisfies this with all types of water , Craft shops, Church, Church hall, Achamore Gardens and Pier. On a Tuesday is the Islanders shopping day. There is a bus waiting to take Islanders to Campbeltown when they leave the Ferry. Church Hall- coffee and cake served in the hall Caleigh dancing - occur often Gigha Walkers- met on Sundays, guests are welcome Boat House - Award winning seafood restaurant Gigha Hotel Bar- good place to find out what's going on Shop - Notice board good for up to date info
