Trust intel
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a while I researched and debated between the 9600k, 9700k or Ryzen 7 2700x for my new build and I decided to give this a shot. I’m using a Corsair h100i pro and temps are mid 40c in gameplay, although I have not overclocked yet this thing is a beast and I just know the right decision was made. So if for gaming you are building for go for Intel i5 9600k, I’m glad I did.

Just Right for Gaming!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Getting this CPU while on sale was a great deal! Ideally I would have tried to go for an i7, but the difference in price for gaming, just could not be justified. Pairing this with an ASUS ROG Maximus motherboard, Ill be in for a good time! Dont let the i5 fool you, this CPU can still achieve some amazing results.

Very happy
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great CPU for gamers in general. Can't really fend for workstations. Purchased with the CPU/Motherboard bundle sale they were offering and got it for a great price. So far so good! Speeds are excellent and have not disappointed me. Don't forget this does not come with a stock cooler. Must buy your own. I also wouldn't recommend the intel stock one either. Paired with a Master Cooler EVO 212 Black Edition

Great for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great cpu. Runs ~4400 MHz stock for gaming. Replaced my i5 4670K which was overclocked to 4300 MHz at 1.35 volts. This is a huge upgrade to that.. Similar speeds to a i7 9700K which I also have in another pc. Runs at 4600 MHz.

Best CPU at the Price Point
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's only been installed for roughly a month paired with a Corsair H115i Platinum AIO Cooler. This processor is a monster for the price. It is easy to OC and has stayed cool through some lengthy gaming sessions. This is more CPU than I will ever need, and I'm happy I chose it over the unlocked i7. I would recommend this processor to anyone unless they're doing some intense video editing, etc. One note to prospective buyers: this CPU (as with all Intel processors I believe) does not come with any CPU cooler, and one will have to be purchased separately.

Great upgrade from 6600k
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had my z270 board with my 6600k for a while, and 4 cores wasn’t cutting it enough. Instead of going for an i7 7700k with 4 cores and 8 threads, went ahead and sprung for this along with a z390 board. Overclocked to 5.3GHz on a Corsair 240 aio. Temps stay at 35C idle and don’t go over 70C while under stress tests. Loving it!

Good processor for everyday computing.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like most I have been stuck at home during the covid 19 lockdown. Looking for something to do I decided to see what I could put together for a decent price that I could dedicate for working on my 3D printing and modeling design projects in Fusion360 . I chose the i5 processor and MSI motherboard as I felt it would meet the demands of the tools required for this work. So far I am very pleased that it has lived up to the tasks intended. I assembled it on a simple vertical open framework and gives it a very Maker like appeal as well.

Works great with high-load games and processing
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to go in my new custom gaming build and it's been doing great! It had handled everything I've thrown at it so far. Does not come with a stock cooler, which was done with me since my PC is water cooled.

Q: QuestionI was wondering if this cpu would be sufficient for streaming while gaming. Or should I go with something with more cores such as the i7-9700?
Asked by Kiljoy723.
- A:Answer Hi Kiljoy723, for streaming while gaming I would recommend something with more cores. If you already have a motherboard with the LGA1151 socket I would recommend the Intel Core i7-9700 processor. If you also have to get a motherboard then I would recommend the Intel Core i7-10700 which also adds hyperthreading which Best Buy has here https://www.bestbuy.com/site/intel-core-i7-10700-10th-generation-8-core-16-thread-2-9-ghz-4-8-ghz-turbo-socket-lga1200-locked-desktop-processor/6411495.p?skuId=6411495 Thank you for choosing Intel.

Q: QuestionI got a question this cpu is 9th gen will it support ASUS Intel PRIME B360M-A Socket LGA 1151 DDR4 Micro ATX Motherboard (90MB0WQ0-M0EAY0)?
Asked by Saucedo.
- A:Answer Hi Saucedo, great news, your Asus motherboard 90MB0WQ0-M0EAY0 is compatible with the Intel Core I5-9600K as they both use the LGA 1151 socket. Just so you are aware it will be compatible with all Intel 9th generation processors should you decide to look at Intel Core I7 or Intel Core I9 processors as well. Looking at the specs for your motherboard it also has multiple M.2 slots which will allow also install Intel Optane memory. Intel Optane memory will help reduce boot and load times, and help accelerate launching your favorite programs so everything feels faster and more responsive. Thank you for choosing Intel.

Q: QuestionWill a core i5 9th gen work with a GeForce RTX 2070 super? Is it good enough to handle that kind of gpu?
Asked by SillyWilly.
- A:Answer Hi SillyWilly, although the Intel Core i5 would work you may run into some possible bottlenecks. So we recommend you pair the GeForce RTX 2070 super with an Intel Core i7 processor to avoid bottlenecks and to get the most out of your build. Thanks for choosing Intel.

Q: Questionwill this work with a b150a gaming pro motherboard?
Asked by rugrat4x.
- A:Answer HI rugrat4x, your MSI B150a motherboard unfortunately is not compatible with the Intel Core i5-9600K processor since it uses an older B150 chipset that is only compatible with 6th generation Intel Core processors. For the Intel Core i5-9600K processor you will need a motherboard with the LGA 1151 socket and 300 series chipset. Best Buy does sell compatible motherboards which you can check out here https://www.bestbuy.com/site/computer-cards-components/motherboards/abcat0507008.c?id=abcat0507008&qp=processorsocketsv_facet%3DProcessor%20Socket~Socket%20LGA%201151 I also recommend Intel Optane memory which will help make you system more responsive from faster bootups, to faster launching of your most used files, applications and games. Check out https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/architecture-and-technology/optane-memory.html to learn more about Intel Optane memory. Thank you for choosing Intel.
