Clear your schedule, because you're going downhilling! The Scott Gambler 910 Complete Mountain Bike weighs the same as all these enduro bikes with stuff strapped to their frames, making you really wonder what's going on there. With this Gambler, there's no denying the goal: out and out downhill speed. This bike is tunable in more ways than imaginable, from chainstays and BB to being a breeze to set up mullet or full 27.5" (it comes as a full 29er). Eight inches of travel and under 40 pounds? Grab your fullface and hop in the truck!
Gambler Carbon Frame – Known as one of the lightest downhill frames on the market, the Gambler is carbon with an aluminum alloy swingarm. Its Virtual 4 Link Kinematic suspension is compact and predictable, meeting the needs of the world's best racers. It has loads of adjustability: depending on the track, riders can change chainstay lengths, wheel sizes, and bottom bracket height. This is the building block for a fully capable speed machine.
Fox DHX2 Performance Elite Coil Rear Shock – The most adjustable coil shock available, the DHX2 is quite simply ready for race day. It has a completely redesigned damper and chassis, delivering tunability, smoother performance, and more progressivity than ever before.
Shock Adjustments – Coil Spring Preload, 8 Clicks High Speed Compression, 16 Clicks Low Speed Compression, 8 Clicks High Speed Rebound with Variable Valve Control, 16 Clicks Low Speed Rebound
Easy Wheel Size Changes – No need to change the fork, all you need to do is flip a shock mount chip, change your wheels and off you go. The flip chip allows you to maintain a similar BB height when switching from one wheel size to the other which is key to keeping handling similar for both wheel sizes.
DT Swiss Thru Axle – Working together with DT Swiss, Scott completely revisited the shape of the thru-axle lever to make it more ergonomic and to perfectly fit their frames.
ICCR Cable Routing – Routing the cables internally omits bulky external hardware and looks cleaner. The cables can endure a longer lifetime as they are protected within the frame. The entry points are machined alloy removable inserts that come along with the frame and can be chosen according to the setup of the bike. Assembling an electronic group or a dropper post will not be a problem and the look will always be clean-cut.
Integrated Frame Protection – From the clever downtube protector under the BB and along the downtube to the noise-silencing stay protector, this is a quiet, fast, and armored ride.
Fox 40 Performance – From its new floating axle, redesigned lowers, and updated EVOL air spring, the 40 sets the bar for dual crown forks.
Fork Adjustments – Air Spring Pressure, Low Speed Compression Adjust, Rebound Adjust
SRAM GX DH 7-Speed – Easy to shift, low-profile, and impervious to chain-slap, this DH drivetrain is a solid collection of precision components. Say goodbye to ghost shifts and concentrate on your line.
Shimano 4-Piston – The system adopts a power transfer system in which the disc brake rotor is pressed by the smaller sized piston at the entrance of the disc brake rotor intake and also by the more powerful larger sized piston at the back. This prevents the wobbling motion of the disc brake rotor and reduces noises significantly. The 4-piston caliper also allows a wider contact area for the disc brake rotor while keeping the size compact, and the efficient location of pads is adjusted as necessary to stabilize the pressure.
Maxxis Assegai Tires – The signature tire of the World Cup's winningest racer, the Assegai knows how to go fast. The tall knobs punch through dust and loam to find traction, but also offer support and confidence on wet roots and rocks. While other tires excel only in certain conditions, the new Maxxis Assegai is built to win everywhere.
