The island arrived in 3 large boxes & the contents were well protected by styrofoam blocks & sheets as well as flexible sheeting.  The instructions were clear & the mfg. included a parts list which included spare hardware that was enumerated in documents.  It took 2 of us a few hours mostly because it is heavy & some screws had to be inserted from underneath the base after the back side had already been assembled.  It looks just like the pictures online & I am thrilled with the purchase!
