When we asked her, our fabulous co-founder Alexia called goop’s G.Tox Detox Salt Bath Soak ‘messylicious’, explaining that ‘a cup of this ‘black gold’ turns my bath into a cauldron of detoxification, drawing out impurities, softening my skin and grounding me from my high frequency existence.’
Crafted from a base of pharmaceutical-grade Epsom salt, Himalayan pink salt, Dead Sea salt, New Zealand solar salt and baking soda, this mineral-rich soak is ideal for cleansing the body after exposure to the stresses of everyday life. Enriched with glacial marine clay and activated charcoal, along with pineapple and papaya seed extracts and matcha green tea, the soak draws out impurities – from modern pollution to plain old grime – and leaves you feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. Scented with essential oils of coriander, cardamom, grapefruit, helichrysum, rosemary, peppermint and fennel, the heavenly, spa-like fragrance is just another reason to love this sumptuous bath-time treat.
Add one cup to warm running water. Soak for at least 20 minutes to allow the ingredients to work their magic. Drink water before, during, and after the bath. Rinse and towel dry. Multiply the benefits of a bath through regular exercise and a healthy diet.

Not over the moon
Not as spectacular as I expected. Leaves a black ring on the tub that you will need to clean after bathing.

G.Tox Detox Salt Bath Soak
I really enjoyed using these bath salts! The individual salts are a great size and dissolve into the water after a few minutes. I also really loved the smell of these salts - they smell exactly like aniseed and left my skin feeling super soft. As these salts contain charcoal powder they will turn your bath water grey which can leave a dark ring around your bath, however, this can easily be scrubbed away.
