While we wouldn't recommend this home if you dislike the colour orange, the clementine walls are a cheerful feature that reflect how much fun you could have here. The host provides spices, condiments and coffee, making it easy to just show up and start enjoying yourself – we are confident you will feel well cared for in this home. There's plenty of space to flop on the squashy grey sofas and a slick kitchen if you're planning to do some cooking for your guests. The true standout feature here, however, is the location. It’s an ideal spot for people travelling for business and working nearby (due to its proximity to The City) – there's even a desk if you need to catch up on some emails out of hours. Tourists will be equally happy with the Tower of London just a twelve-minute walk away in one direction, and the vintage markets of Brick Lane a ten-minute walk away in the other direction. And, if you stick your head out the window, you can see one of London's most iconic buildings, The Gherkin.

About City of London

The City of London might be first and foremost a business district but it does also have over 8,000 residents who call it home, many of whom live in the famous Barbican buildings, one of the greatest examples of 1960s Brutalist architecture and also home to a world-class arts space. The streets of the Square Mile itself hint at the area's rich history: goldsmiths, mercers, grocers, fishmongers and their trades are still celebrated in their livery halls and there are over 600 listed buildings!
