My husband and I are avid cooks when it comes to grilling. I was very impressed with the Kingsford Original Charcoal Briquets with Applewood. It adds a great smoky flavor to the food. I've used it to grill everything from burgers to pork tenderloins and ribs. It lights up easily and evenly. I think the design of the bag is great as well. it really makes the charcoal stand out. I'm very satisfied with this charcoal and it's my new goto for grilling. I'm excited to try the other varieties as well. The the added Applewood flavor.

These charcoals are very easy to light, in fact they seem easier than standard charcoal.  The little strips of apple wood add just a subtle bit of flavor to your meat.  I can't believe just how much that simple improvement helps the flavor so much.

This was the easiest apple wood smoke flavored chicken I've ever grilled.  It added almost a sweet flavor to the meat.  I will most certainly be purchasing this every time we grill out.

Easy to light and adds a pleasant subtle flavor

I was going to rotisserie my chicken but ended up making a spatchcock chicken. The Kingsford Applewood charcoal lit easily with a minimum of charcoal lighter and took about 30 minutes to turn to a white ash. I rubbed the chicken with an Asian rub and put it on direct heat until it was seared on both sides.
I moved it to indirect heat and continued to cook until it was almost done. Halfway through the process I added more Kingsford Applewood so I used about 5 pounds total.
Then I added barbecue sauce and caramelized it on both sides. The chicken took about 2 hours to slowly cook this way to reach 165 degrees. The Applewood flavor came through and gave it a sweet taste. I love how it cooked evenly and tasted delicious. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

Spatchcock Chicken

As soon as the Kingsford Applewood Briquets arrived we were ready to barbacue. Placing briquets in the bottom of grill and pouring Kingsford lighter fluid over them, they lit quickly and easily and the grill was hot and ready in no time. Using only olive oil, salt and pepper to prep the pork chops we placed them on the grill to cook. The aroma made our mouths water and the first bite melted in your mouth. It was delicious and just like eating pork chops that had been baked with apples only better!! The morsels were juicy and bursting with flavor! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion.

Quick and Easy Barbecue Deliciousness

I have always been a big fan of Kingsford and these Applewood briquettes do not disappoint. I recently used this charcoal for grilling some thick pork chops. The charcoal was very easy to light and added some great flavor to my pork. I love applewood since it adds a nice smokey flavor but it is not overpowering like hickory or mesquite can be. I have used other brands of charcoal and I always have an issue with lighting the other brands or they do not offer up as much flavor. I highly recommend this flavor of charcoal and look forward to trying the others as well. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion

Great flavor!

My husband is a very picky grill guy. He was excited to try Kingsford Original Charcoal Briquets with Applewood. We made ribs first to try out the taste and it really gave the ribs a good smokey flavor. We loved it. We have continued to use it every time we grill now. It has become a favorite for us. I would definitely keep purchasing this product in the future. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.

Great Charcoal

We used our bag of Kingsford Applewood Charcoal to smoke baby back pork ribs in our Weber Smoky Mountain smoker. We were very pleased with how it lit, stayed hot for hours in the smoker and added just enough flavor to the meat. Very happy with the amount of smoke produced also. We look forward to trying the other flavored charcoal.

Great for smoking in our smoker

Wow, what a treat! This applewood charcoal was dynamite and I can't wait to try other flavors. The Applewood Charcoal lit very easily, my husband is a grill master but I have to be honest and sometimes I struggle to really get the coals lit or maintain thieir temperature. Not this time though! The charcoal was a breeze to cook with, long lasting and a great barbecuing experience! I was surprised at how much the flavor really made a difference. When the bag arrived we fired up the barbeque and made a pork loin and on subsequent nights we made a tritip and barbecue chicken. So pork and apples is a match made in heaven so I wasn't surprised the pork loin turned out amazing but I was surprised to detect a difference in both the tritip and chicken. I thought maybe a sweet or floral note would carry over but instead it imparted this beautiful smoky earthy taste that enhanced all the meat we made. You can even see how sensational it is in the photos. Highly recommend, I'm so glad I was chosen to try this out. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my honest opinion

A Smoky Sensation

So this burns pretty good meaning you want it to turn gray as soon as possible, which is things I've had issues with other charcoals. They light good but don't stay hot enough for the coals to properly burn well to cook your meat. The only thing I haven't liked is at times the amount of smoke coming from these charcoals.  It can get pretty smoky sometimes.  I had Ribeye  steak and it cooked it pretty fast about 10-12 minutes it was ready. So very happy with that. I would recommend this just be aware of the smoke. I personal could tell any difference in flavor though.

Nice Burning but little smokey

I  have been a consumer of Kingsford Charcoal for a long time but this is my first time using the Applewood flavor.

My menu for this grilling extravaganza was Chicken,Ribs,Zucchini,Hot Dogs and 
Hamburgers. 

First I Pre-soaked the charcoal in lighting fluid  then after the  pre-soaked I was ready to light the grill and  I smelled the strong wonderful sent of apple but once the food was cooked

Nice Idea but the charcoal smell overwhelms the added wood in the charcoal, no difference between the cherry and apple. This makes incense not smoke. I had to add wood chunks to it.
