Best doorbell Camera !
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I live in a apartment and have no doorbell but have peep holes. This camera was so easy to install and works perfectly! Clear video and alerts to your cell phone immediately! I can see packages arrive , people walking by , see my son come in and out and see things going on while I’m away. I can speak on my cell phone to whomever outside and have a conversation!! Best invention!!! Loving this device!! Easy set up ! Told my friends and neighbors to get one !

So far so good! App glitchy, sluggish to connect.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: - Free Amazon Dot with the purchase of Ring peephole cam. - Somewhat easy setup to setup. - Infra red night records well. - Picture quality in wide frame. - The ability to sync up with Amazon Dot w/ Alexa with door notifications. - The ability to run additional cams for the future. - Black & grey color. Would like to have one in red to blend in with my door. - Motion adjustment settings. - Sale Cons: - Somewhat easy to setup. What to do with the strip part after swapping out the peep hole was confusing. Videos didn’t explain. Had to figure it out. - Quality degrades massively when you zoom in. - Speaker voice projection can be distorted, could use clarity & be louder volume. - has a delay when detecting & announcing a person at the door. Instant when cam button is pushed however. - can be unresponsive at times. - Going on day 12 & full charge battery is on 46%. Claims to go for 6 months under high efficiency settings but why promote it under those unrealistic circumstances that no one will select. - Fee after 30 day Trail. * So far it’s working out for what needs it for. I can update my future experiences as I go.

BUY IT !!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is perfect if you live in an apartment. Extremely easy to install. You download the application and it literally walks you through step by step. I didn’t need to mount anything simply removed my peep hole and this screwed in easily. It’s very sturdy. It fits perfectly no openings.I also love the fact that it connects to my phone , my echo dot and echo. When I’m in my room with my newborn. Sometimes I’m busy breast feeding so I easily just respond through my phone or echo dot. I tell the person to wait a minute that I will be there. It’s also very helpful with Amazon packages or deliveries. I can always see who is at the door very clearly and who is passing by. The camera captures as far as my parking lot. So it has a wide range of visibility. My oldest daughter comes home from school walking & i can see her walking up before she even gets inside. The camera is Amazon. The ring is very loud. My apartment is 1900 square feet and you can hear it through the apartment. And I also have my echo connected so Alexa will also inform you that someone is at the door as well.

Easy to install and very good view
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install. I had a peep hole already and just replaced it with the RING CAM. It 'was easy to configure to my wi-fi using the RING app.The view through this CAM shows a wide angle view. The button does not ring but that is because you have to buy the RING sound unit sold separately. I installed this CAM on July 3rd, 2020 and checked it on July 31st, 2020 and battery level was 84%. When I first installed it I had a battery level of 100%. At this rate I will not have to charge this CAM until 6-1/4 months from now.

Does it’s job.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our door bell is perpendicular to our front door. The wedge would only angle so much so a regular door bell camera would not work. So I found this product and I’m glad I did. We have a centered view from our door and now I can see who’s at my door or if an ordered was dropped off. Battery life is approximately 60-70 days depending on your settings. Took me a little of finding the correct setting because at first I was getting a lot of false alarms.

Q: QuestionWhat is the battery life? How quickly does it charge?
Asked by Noganator.
- A:Answer I installed mine on November 24, 2019, the system prompted me to charge my battery on January 6th, 2020 and the battery was only at about 40%. I live in an apartment complex so I get a fair amount of alerts during the day - 9-15. I left it plugged in overnight but I think the documentation says it take about 3 hours to charge the battery. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionI have 2 doors, will I have in the box 2 doorbells or do I need to purchase a second 1?
Asked by michael.
- A:Answer Each package contains only one peep-hole, doorbell, camera. You will need multiple packages for multiple doors. Also - you won't need the additional plug-in alert part (for $25). The tone from the unit on the door is plenty loud!

Q: QuestionCan I get someone to install for me? Cost?
Asked by Br1arrose.
- A:Answer If you’re switching out a normal peephole for the Ring, don’t hire anyone. It’s very easy to do via the directions in the box and they even give you the tool to remove your existing peephole.
Answered by NavyMom2006
Q: QuestionWhy do you need to drill a hole?
Asked by Padres.
- A:Answer For the peep hole camera there's no need to drill any holes or deal with any wires!

Q: QuestionSorry, but I am a 74 year old technophobe. Someone pounds on my apartment door it in the middle of the night, waking me and frightening my dog. We have a peephole. Will this device record the intrusion and let me play it back to ID the perp?
Asked by Wanda.
- A:Answer Yes, But first the device must be installed in place of the existing peephole and you must have WiFi (internet) in you house as well as a smartphone with the Ring app installed. Once the camera is installed and set up, you will have a 30 day free trial during which the videos will be saved. After the 30 day trial, you must sign up for the storage service or the videos will no longer be saved. The service will cost $30 per year for one device and all videos will be saved for 60 days after they are recorded. The videos can then be viewed on your phone at any time for 60 days or they can be downloaded and saved indefinitely for your use anytime. After the 60 days, if videos are not downloaded, they will be erased.
