Great for fixing and leaving it food
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife took it out of the box on Christmas Day and hasn’t stopped using it. It is not much faster than her regular cooking BUT she can put everything in and walk away. It is very easy to clean and use. The VIVA has many features that she hasn’t used yet but looks forward to. It was a great value for our money. She keeps it on the counter all the time, which means it is as important as the coffee maker!

Easy to use
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first pressure cooker and instant pot, had never used one as well so i was hesitant to purchase. I have been using this pot in replacement of the conventional stove and it proves to be easy to use and I love that you can use this pot to saute as well. Although there are a lot of functions, I have not able to use of them just because I have not tried it for any of my regular food recipes. I love making soup using this pot. It's a great item to use if you want to deal away with too many pots and pans. I use this for my regular cooking while I use an airfryer for anything that I need to fry. It was already late that I saw that another model can be converted to airfryer. At anyrate I now only have two items in my kitchen. The only con I see is you have to buy the accessories separately i.e. steamer basket, tongs etc which I believed should have been disclosed and should have been included the basic ones. If you are to cook many types of food at a given time, I recommend buying an extra inner pot so you can continue using the instant pot without downtime.

Excellent addition to small kitchen appliances!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought my 6 qt.Instant Pot Viva a month ago and have not regretted the purchase. I had read online reviews prior to the purchase; viewed basic “ how-to” videos and watched several demos of recipes to prep myself to use the Instant Pot Viva. Two recipes later— braised pork cutlets with apples and onions in a wine/broth sauce and a corn bread with cheddar cheese-I am convinced that I made a wise decision. Covid quarantining has made me weary of my own cooking, so this new Instant Pot addition should improve my inventory of recipes. If you still harbor fears of the old pressure cookers with the jiggle release valves, please let them go. Follow the instructions to the Instant Pot and you should find it easy and safe to use. Best Buy advertised that this model came with a measuring cup and spoon, but none were in the box. It does come with a trivet for easier lifting of items and an extra sealing ring.

Does so much!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had my eye on this and then got this for a really great deal. I was totally excited about the pressure cooker. Haven’t tried to make a cake or yogurt yet but what a fun cooking item to have during this time of quarantine. Lots of great recipes to try in this awesome Instant Pot.

Q: Questionwhat is the red gasket for that comes with the instant pot
Asked by cc.
- A:Answer From what I understood, it’s a spare lid gasket. Some people will use the white one for savory foods and the red one for sweets due to the gasket holding in the scent of some foods

Q: Questioncan the pot be used or still cook while the lid is off? I would like to know to see if I could make shabu shabu, which is like hot pot where you cook thin slices of meat and vegetable in broth,
Asked by Coco15.
- A:Answer You can definitely cook hot pot style dishes with the lid off using the Sauté function, it's like cooking with a pot on the stove. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionIn general, how is an instant different from a crock pot?
Asked by LisaM.
- A:Answer It's about 10 times faster. A pot roast that's in a crock pot for about 8 hours can be cooked in the Instant Pot in 1.5 hours. Spare ribs in 30 minutes. All come out perfectly everytime. Can't beat it. A ton of recipes out there
