Hazardous, unsafe product in my opinion.
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It worked great for about 6 months and then it began to randomly increase the cooking time up to 60 mins during cooking. This has happened several times now so I had to make sure I babysit the unit during operation as I don't want my house smoked up or worse. Today, with 2 mins left to cook, I heard a beep and figured it added time again but this time it increased the temperature from 360 to 400 all on it's own. These should be recalled for safety reasons. Bummer is I bought one as a gift and now have to tell them they shouldn't use it.

This thing is a gift from heaven to your kitchen.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is incredibly. My first jump into trying air fryers was a small, simply unit with no controls but a wheel for temp and another wheel for time. It "worked" but never blew me away, it was too small to do much with, and eventually I forgot about it. I saw this unit on sale and pulled the trigger, and my god am I happy I did. The tray is plenty big enough for basically anything, it's really deep too, but the unit itself doesn't feel obnoxiously large on your counter. It's got plenty of great presets to cook the most common things in just two button presses, and you can manually set whatever you want outside of them. It seems very high quality and I haven't had a single issue. Also, when you pull the tray out there is a separate piece that you can lift out, using the same handle, with like a strainer at the bottom; it's hard to explain but it's the most useful thing ever. Please make sure of one thing - THERE IS A TON OF HIDDEN CARDBOARD IN THIS THING, INSIDE THE COOKING AREA! I had been told this beforehand, was extra careful, and STILL MISSED A PIECE after using it for a month. I'm lucky I didn't burn my house down. Please, check under and between the trays, inside the unit with the tray completely removed, everywhere. That aside, this thing is exceptional. I use it quite literally all the time. Grab some frozen chicken wings, dump some in, highlight the chicken wing option, and walk away. They're done in like 10 minutes and are perfect, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. I've also cooked tons of french fries, dumplings, even pork chops. I haven't found anything it can't do. Also, they say you can add a little oil to make things crispy -- I found an easier trick. Find a can of non-stick spray, but get one that is PURE OIL. No other crap, just oil. I have one that is 100% canola oil. When I put something in like french fries, I'll do a light spritz over the top of them. That alone is enough to get them really nice and crispy, dramatically less than you'd need in a pan. Buy it, for real. At the absolute most wait for another sale, but definitely buy it.

Almost caused a fire
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought the 3 quart for my sister a while back. She satisfied with her except the timer knob. So I bought the 5 quart when it went on sale for myself. First night it started blinking, smelt like something burning and was dimming the lights in the kitchen. Plugged into different room in house to make sure. Same blinking and slight electric shock when unplugging. Took it back to best buy.. They offered that I come back in a few days to week they have to ship a new one from another store. Refused free shipping to my home even after I showed a video of the product malfunction. My sister's insignia Air fryer is analog so maybe it's a better build quality. But the timer is inaccurate so times it off her phone. So I would avoid this companies products from the perspective of 2 flawed air friers.

It’s ok
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has the sleek look but do not like how it works. It cooks ok but there are too many steps (buttons) for you to get to what you want. If you pass the right choice you have to go through it from the beginning, no turning reverse. I just select whatever and adjust the temperature and times instead of picking its preprogrammed food to cook. I should just get the dial ones next time instead of digital ones for this brand. Also I do not like the inner basket sleets on the sides. You can cut your fingers while you clean it if you are careless or in a hurry. Please put them in the dish washer.

Insane chemical odor, killed my pet bird and made.
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Also I cleaned the basket and the large pan in my dishwasher, wiped out the air fryer with a wet cloth and let it run for two 60 minute 400° cycles outside before I cooked in it to get rid of any plastic smell these sometimes have. I started the air fryer at 375 to cook some fries and about 10 minutes in the whole house had an extremely strong noxious chemical odor. Everyone in the house felt dizzy and had burning eyes. My dog was literally hacking because he was near it the most time. My pet bird started acting super tired and literally died the next day and he was perfectly healthy. I had to take it and put the fryer outside in the rain to get the smell out of the house asap. I may as well took my money and flushed it down the toilet. At least I wouldn’t have burning eyes, a coughing dog and a dead bird.

Fire hazard
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've only had this product a few days. I tried toasting bread on more than one occasion and the bread continuously gets sucked up to the top. The bread doesn't toast, but it has round burn marks in the middle from being sucked onto the burner at the top of the air fryer. If I had not stuck around to smell the burning and hear the rumbling, I'm not sure what would have happened. Also, the buttons do not press easily when trying to set the temperature and timer. I had to press it sever times and it responds inconsistently.
