About the work

On the Valensole Plateau during late summer, nature puts on quite a show. Fields of lavender sweep across the countryside in Provence, leaving the air filled with their heady fragrance. The vibrant purple hue of the flowers mingles with the deep gold of the dry soil. Hillsides roll on in every direction and the sky bows down to meet the earth. Originally painted in acrylic on canvas.
