Six Flags Over Texas

Six Flags Over Texas has been thrilling Texans and visitors for 58 seasons, and shows no sign of slowing down soon. In Spring 2019, the park debuts its 14th coaster, El Diablo. The new ride, the world’s largest loop coaster, soars to 100 feet, and will send riders through a series of 360-degree revolutions.

It joins a lineup of popular rides including the El Aserradero log fume; the Texas Cliffhanger, the world’s first free-fall attraction; and SUPERMAN: Tower of Power, the tallest rides of its kind. Six Flags Over Texas also offers plenty of family-friendly rides and entertainment, and hosts special events and festivals throughout the year.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor

Nearby, at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor, the thrills take place in the water. The largest water park in North Texas—open from May to September—sprawls over 47 acres dotted by slides, rapids, pools and a lazy river. Private cabanas are available for a little time in the shade, and the park hosts regular Dive-In Movies, where you can watch the latest blockbusters from an inner tube in the pool.
