A monthly series of gastronomic events inspired by authentic, family-style Algarvian cuisine. Don't miss this series with culinary direction by chef Sérgio Gama, whose experience includes stints at Noma and Ocean and is now supporting us in our gastronomy offering. 

At each À MESA gathering, we reinvent the cuisine we grew up on, transforming local ingredients into dishes that speak to the soul, honor the heritage, and the memories that make the Algarve a place of daily inspiration.

THE FARMERS TABLE

Gather under our 2.000 year-old tree that overlooks the old Negramole vines, inside our vintage olive press or wrapped in the warmth of the Main House and share a simple menu paired with a flight of four of our wines from the estate. Delight in the authentic stories of the Algarve’s landmark vineyard estate before strolling the vineyards.

Lunches held at 13:00.

 

WINE TASTING

Experience an intimate wine tasting and tour of the vineyards while exploring the history of Morgado do Quintao. Discover our unique terroir and our authentic wines while you savour cheese and charcuterie from our local producers.

Tastings are held on Monday through to Friday at 16:00.

Participants must be 18 years or older.

A BOTTLE OF VINHO VERDE, OYSTERS SUNSET

Join us for an unparalleled evening experience at Morgado do Quintão, featuring our distinctive Vinho Verde. This exceptional wine is the result of a collaboration with our cherished friend from Minho, the region renowned for the famous "Vinho Verde." Together, we have crafted a special blend that highlights the alluring essence of the Loureiro grape, creating an exclusive wine that is available solely at our vineyard. Paired with fresh, local oysters from Ria de Alvor, served on a crisp bed of ice, this pairing is the epitome of elegance and freshness. As the sun sets, casting a warm, pink glow over the storied vineyards, savor the unique, aromatic bouquet of our Vinho Verde. This experience, where the finest flavors of land and sea meet against the backdrop of an unforgettable sunset, is one that can only be cherished here, with us.

 

SARDINES UNDER A STARRY SKY

Grilled sardines are a staple of Portuguese food. Paired with chilled Clarete, our most prized wine, under a starry sky we think it’s the perfect end of day experience.

This experience is available between July and September.  

 

COOKING WORKSHOP IN THE VINEYARD

While some of the family’s recipes have been served to Portuguese kings & queens, it’s our daily fare that we’re most interested in sharing with those that visit us and experience life at the estate. Join us for an adventurous morning of fun and learning about the history of the estate, of the Algarve and of its food traditions while you learn about how to make some of our very favourites with our in-house chef. Beware: might need to pick vegetables from our very own organic vegetable garden. Includes a PDF version of your meal’s recipes. Discount on the purchase of wines.

 

DINNER AT THE VINEYARD

The table is set at the estate and we’re inviting you, your friends and family to be our dinner guests.

Join us around the table with views of our 2,000 year old olive tree, surrounded by our most cherished Negramole vines while the sun sets over the Monchique mountains for a three course meal of simple yet traditional Algarvian dishes. Our menu is inspired by our family recipes passed down through generations and paired with three of our award winning wines.

Our dinners at the vineyard explore the history of the estate and its unique terroir will be at 19:00h to 21:30h.

WELLNESS & MASSAGE

Relax into the flow of the countryside. Take a memorable and relaxing moment during your stay in the Algarve by booking yourself a magical, sensorial experience at the vineyard; specially crafted treatments using beautiful, organic and vegan La-Eva products.

To ensure an appointment, we advise you to book before you arrive or at least 48 hours in advance.

We've partnered with our local community tastemakers to give you access to the real Algarvian way of life. Discover the richness of Algarvian gastronomy and visit an Algarvian orange producer, an olive oil farm, the salt fields or explore the Medronho distilleries of our nearby Monchique Mountains with our friends.
