As a lover of small and intimate boutique style hotels, I found the Chithirapuram totally to my taste. The hotel is thoughtfully decorated, the rooms are quite roomy, and it was excellent value for the price. Perhaps what made our stay so enjoyable was the charming and funny manager Manoj. What a tremendously nice man ! Nothing was too much trouble for us. During our stay I developed what could have been a serious condition and he drove me down to the hospital in Kochi. As if that was not enough, he stayed for a few hours to potentially interpret and make sure that I was getting the proper care. As another bonus, the food was also quite good.

Beautiful surroundings, a bit outside the city. Peace & quiet & birds singing in the mornings & evenings. The staff was externally nice & helpful with arranging any activities we needed. Food was fantastic. Manoj, the manager, was very kind to take us by car to the places we wanted to visit, like spice garden, any shopping, massages. He also drove us to our next destination in the backwaters & helped find cash exchange on the way. He is an exceptional host.

The staff (Manoj and others) went above and beyond to help us in organising our trip and also at the property. The room was nice and neat. The hotels provides home-made meals, if you order a bit ahead, which were delicious. Hotel organised the cab service to travel around during our stay.

We had a lovely stay - Manoj was an incredible host who made sure we had everything we needed and helped organise great activities in Munnar. Delicious food served directly to our balcony, which had a lovely view surrounded by greenery. Room and bathroom were clean, comfortable and nicely decorated.

Great location. Nice and peaceful and lovely views of the mountains. The rooms were nice and spacious and the balcony was good to relax on. The manager Manoj was brilliant and helped us with booking some hikes and also helped with booking tuk tuks into Munnar. He also drove us all the way to Marari beach to drop us off at our next hotel 😊 Would definitely come back and stay here again.
