About Us

Born and raised on the beautiful island of Tortola, British Virgin Islands, Kristin is the third generation in a family of women whose keen eyes for colour and purity of design have always been coupled with a direct sense of fashion-forward style.

In 2008, she birthed her company called Trèfle and focused on swimwear for women. After a few years of fashion events came a new thought of creating a kids swimwear line called Trèfle284 for girls that was launched in late 2013. This was shortly followed with a new resort-wear collection for women that would complete any ‘head-to-toe’ Trèfle look. With achievements of fashion shows from as far south as Guyana to as far north as New York, and write-ups in local, regional and international magazines such as Martha Stewart, Marie Claire, Ebony and Essence, Kristin is more than just ‘one to watch’…she’s moving boldly to become the iconic Caribbean swimwear fashionista of our generation.

From adventures in Lisbon, Portugal under the 2014 "Britain is GREAT" campaign as the only British Overseas Territory Designer with delightful pop up meetings and tea, to designing the BVI Olympic team's outfit for the RIO 2016 Olympics opening ceremony, her experiences and designs have been recognized through an array of events both locally and internationally. Her bold and original prints have since surfaced in early 2016 with the launch of her Atacama swim and resort collection and she continues to expand her love for creating prints that can diversify through all areas of the brand.

Her love for travel, people, culture and self expression through her designs has landed her the opportunity to dress clients like Beyoncé, daughter Blue Ivy, Chrisette Michele and her talents has also transferred over to the accessories world with a collaboration as the first Caribbean designer to partner with U.S. company Otterbox who has highlighted her 2017 and 2018 collection prints on their fashion symmetry series cases that are sleek and durable in design. Her phone cases have been sold to over 2200 Verizon stores and has been featured on “The View”, “The Chew”, “The Real” and other television stations across the U.S.

As a true ambassador for the BVI, Kristin also launched a private home line of pillows, bed throws, table runners and napkins under her TrèfleHome label which are manufactured locally using her prints that enable her to give back to her community.

Her passion also brings youth to the forefront through the charitable arm of Trèfle, a Non-Profit Organization called 284Foundation. The foundation was created to make an impact through various grant programs it awards to local BVI arts education programs, such dance schools, music programs and other fine arts education opportunities. It also offers scholarship programs youth between the ages of 10-18 to gain access to creative skill training programs, workshops and internships.

"Enjoy my home, your paradise..."
