Love it and got a great deal because of geek squad
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you need a chrome book then you want one with a bright crisp screen, good trackpad and keyboard, and a slim profile. This one has all that. I take it everywhere. The only knock. I wish I could add a micro as card.

The Chromebook Is Great (but refurb unit was meh)
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Chromebook is great. The audio is awesome. The keyboard and trackpad are of the best you will find on a Chromebook. This unit was "certified refurbished" and honestly I was disappointed how it was arrived. There was a minor scratch on outside cover. The real kicker was there were oily fingerprints ll over it. A little cleaning by Best Buy would have gone a long way. Immediately I wanted to send it back. But after a good cleaning, using the laptop, and reflecting on the deal I got, I decided to ultimately keep it. Once you use the Chromebook it's tough to let go. :) Aside from the lowered refurb price, I also had $125 in Best Buy rewards so it was a fantastic deal for me. You get nothing more than the Chromebook and power supply shipped in a generic box, not that you need anything else. But this is expected as a refurb.

Great machine, poor handling
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the same experience as a previous reviewer: So far the machine seems fine. The "Geek Squad Certified Refurbished" however gives me reason to doubt their integrity. The condition guide states that all parts are thoroughly cleaned. When I received this it was covered in smears and greasy fingerprints inside and out. Especially in today's atmosphere, sanitized and cleaned means a lot, and this machine looked as if someone inspected it while eating a pizza. It made me expect something to go wrong while using it. Thus far that has not been the case and I hope to use this machine for a long time, because it is very nice to work on.

Worth the extra cost
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was initially looking for a cheap Chromebook but decided to pay at least 2x more. It's got double the ram and storage compared to some $200 offerings. The primary user is my 6 year daughter. The screen is really nice (full HD) and since it's a touch screen, allows her to do a few things more easily, like draw with her finger. The touch responsiveness is good. I also like the fact the speakers are really good and it's lightweight. It's really snappy too so I hope this machine will meet the classroom needs for years to come.

Great chromebook
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a new one of these for my wife to help survive shelter in place. She loves it. I wanted another one for my niece and nephew to help with stay at home school. Only the refurbished one was available. It is working great and they love it too.

Great laptop
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Microsoft Surface Pro stopped working so instead of dealing with a repair, I decided To try an Android. This is my first Android OS. My phone and pad are both Apple OS. I really love my new laptop. Very easy to operate. Fast. Few glitches. The only problem is that I can’t remove/fold back the keyboard so I can use it as a pad. Good laptop.

Lightweight Chromebook but good, strong features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked this Chromebook but I was comparing it with an even less expensive Lenovo Chromebook and the latter won out. This one was fun and fancier, with its uncommon 13.3" screen and refurbished insides, but the cost - though inexpensive - was actually not as bang for the buck as the cheaper Lenovo. I will say that if I was a rich man I would have kept both. A thumbs up recommendation if you don't mind a couple hundred bucks for a bit more class than your really, bare bones, basic Chromebook.

Q: QuestionIs this a good laptop for a college student? Can you install Microsoft programs to it (including adobe products and games) ?
Asked by CollegePleb101.
- A:Answer Yep, you have access to the google play store and I confirmed Microsoft Office programs, and Adobe can be installed. While the pixelbook is more tightly integrated with the google docs online site, the Microsoft Office App includes Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. (Subscription required for this service). Adobe Acrobat Reader: PDF Viewer, Editor & Creator is the official app you can download to this device. Finally, for games - the majority of games you can search for in an Android device is available for ChromeOS. It's a matter of just searching for it. We love having the convenience of a laptop to do common online activity, with enough horsepower under the hood to run games. We were looking for a light weight computer for online schooling, with a backlit keyboard. A majority of the chromebooks that are under $200 are usually built with lower performing components, and less RAM. For the money, the amount of space and ram you get is worth it for future proofing. The front-facing camera is ok. It's not the greatest, but certainty not the worse. On a scale from 1-5, I would rate the camera a solid 3.5. And no; you cannot superimpose Zoom backgrounds with this Chromebook.
