A versatile puffy is a winter essential for anyone braving the cold, and we made the Stoic Insulated Jacket to meet everyone's needs. This comfy coat is made with water-resistant materials inside and out, so cold-weather commutes stay cozy, even in a storm. When we take to the forest for winter camping or need a little extra warmth under a ski shell, this insulator is simple, but it's tough enough for the job.

Dont buy
What seemed to be a great product resulted in a useless item. The insulation is extremely thin and distributed unevenly along the arms. Im tryng to return but have to pay the shipping aswell. Seems like Backcountry will lose a customer. I hppe they reconsider and give me full refund to buy something else

I wanted the Patagonia Nano Puff jacket for cold weather fly fishing, but didn't want to spend $199 on something that was going to get dirty and worn out. I picked up this jacket for $44. It does the trick: Keeps me warm under my waders and I'm not too uptight about it ripping or getting beat up. Only downside: The zipper sticks at the bottom. It takes a little effort to get the thing unhooked. Perhaps it's the design: The zipper is opposite sided and I'm a righty. Seems like you get what you pay for when you buy a cheap puffy jacket. Consider how and how often you're gonna use it.

Oddly, the zipper is on the opposite side for a men's garment and there is no inside pocket. It's a lower quality jacket and not a bad buy at the sale price. (I would be disappointed if I paid the MSRP.) After purchasing several Stoic items, I've concluded Backcountry's exclusive brand overall is just that: a low cost, lower quality offering to compete with the name brands. And there's nothing wrong with that approach.

Toasty & Durable

Great jacket at an even better price. I've used this as a mid-layer and as a standalone jacket. Material is lightweight but still durable. The synthetic insulation has kept loft despite being packed into my ski duffel every weekend.
