Distiller Notes
A unique joven mezcal, distilled in detail three times. Maintains the characteristics of our doubly distilled mezcals but expressed in a more subtle way, they are identifiable fruity and slight smoky tones; citrus, sweet tastes (cooked agave) are appreciated, in the end the notes are slightly metallic and herbaceous.

Among the best of the joven/silver category, this refreshing mezcal offers bright anise and pine notes, backed by apple and sweet agave flavors and delicate smokiness. Brisk but balanced alcohol levels make this a top contender for cocktails.

Why lovers?
The name "Los Amantes" is inspired by the Aztec legend of the goddess Mayahuel who disobeyed her grandmother and gave herself for the love of Quetzalcoatl, which she paid with her life. After his remains buried and watered with the cry of Quetzalcoatl, the maguey plant would grow. Essential precursor of mezcal.
Los Amantes mezcal is handcrafted distillate, made 100% of sprat agave, emerged in the region of Tlacolula, in the State of Oaxaca. The maguey is traditionally baked in stone ovens, then it is ground in an Egyptian mill made of stone moved by horses, fermented in wooden vats naturally and distilled in steel and copper stills designed exclusively for our mezcal.
Finally, the mezcals are matured, in the case of Reposados ??and Añejos, in French and / or American oak barrels. All this gives Mezcal Los Amantes exceptional organoleptic characteristics that make it unique and unmistakable.
