I bought this lipstick in the shade 'Black Out' and it's just such an amazing lipstick to wear everyday (if you're into dark shades) and it's very moisturizing. It has a satin finish and feels amazing on the lips. Plus, it's extremely long wearing. However, that being said, I'd still bring it around if I were heading out and socializing with people. Nothing a touch-up can't fix! :)

As a general rule, ALWAYS use lip liner to get the most out of your lipsticks, but that especially applies to this lipstick. The black lipstick is now my go-to. I absolutely LOVE it. It applies smoothly and lasts for a decent amount of time. After applying it the first time, I tested it by pressing my lips against my hand and, while my hand had a big grey mark on it, my lips were still nice and dark. It IS a bit of a pain to remove, though.

Love It

I have this in two shades: Red Carpet and Bordeaux Beauty. The latter was a freebie with one of my purchases.

Red Carpet is the quintessential bright red lip stick. Bordeaux Beauty is a beautiful berry burgundy. The swatch in the pictures on this site do it such an injustice, making it look more brown.

I also love how this lipstick is so creamy, smooth, and has a light vanilla scent.

Very pretty

I love the colors, I love that they stay on, and I love the price! The only one I don't love is berry black. The texture is quite thick so it's impossible to just put a light coat on, which ends up making the lipstick go on a bit messy. My favorite is wine and red carpet.

I purchased Bordeaux Beauty , and this product is great for people just beginning to get into lipstick. It doesn't apply in a thick, gooey mess like most lipsticks do. It goes on and stays on like chapstick or lip balm. You need a few layers to get a really dark and defined look, but that also gives you a chance to play with the shade and intensity. You can build it up or leave it for just a hint. It doesn't leave dark red lip marks on glasses, just a little print that looks like you're wearing chapstick. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the moisture level. I put regular Burt's Bee's chapstick on before this lipstick, and it helps keep my lips from getting dry, and it keeps the color looking vibrant and fresh for at least 3 hours.

Behaves like chapstick

I love this lipstick, its a beautiful color (cheeky) and is exactly as described. However the little bottom lip pot almost looks like it has been dug into or scooped into there with a spatula. My other elf lipstick pots don't look like this at all. Is anyone else experiencing this? I'm kind of afraid to use the lip pot.

Should I be worried about this?

I had been in love with this color since I saw it. I am finally wearing it today because it's cold outside and goes great with the other fall colors I'm wearing. From far away it looks great but when you get up close its looks blotchy and streaky. It's hard to see in the photo the effect the lipstick has on my lips but it doesn't look appealing in the mirror. Maybe next time I should use the lip exfoliator first to truly smooth my lips out. It would be even better if this color wasn't so sheer and I didn't have to do a few coats to get it dark. Maybe that is part of the problem of it being blotchy and streaky. I would love to see this color improved because it is amazing and beautiful. It would also be nice if the vanilla taste went away. The other lipsticks I have are great, so this review and rating are just for this color.

Black Berry

I bought this a few weeks ago and I love the color on my skintone. My one problem is the lipstick itself, it came in the mail broken at the base so the lipstick wobbles inside of the container. Also, I use a lip brush to apply most of the color because the lipstick is very soft, almost like a melted texture.

Nice Color

I bought this a weeks ago along with my st.lucia bronzer I  am very big fan of elf all of my cosmetics is from elf and I'm very disapointed when I get this I thought its really burgandi I was expecting same color on the pictures but no it's not it's just like matte ruby red that I order a month ago,the st Lucia bronzer is cracked,damage when I recieved it..anyways I still love elf product..

The one I brought is Party in the Buff, and this is the worst color ever!!!! It looks like a orangy pink, maybe peach color? Looks cute, but once you have it one your lips, it is way too light, and I would say really dry, chap look on the lips. I have pic I have added under. I did felt it is creamy, and moisturising, but maybe because of that it is very soft, very VERY easy break, so have to be gentle while applying it.
