Announcement    Hello, and welcome to my Etsy shop! I’m Tara, the maker behind Slashpile Designs. I’ve been running this business, which I originally started with my twin sister, since 2008.

I’m mother to a 3-year-old kid, a retired racing greyhound and a formerly feral cat. I make jewellery by hand in the basement studio of my quirky and colourful home in Toronto. Pieces are made in sterling silver or copper enamel, and I occasionally take on fine jewellery commissions in gold. My current inspirations are nature and the changing seasons, as well as happy colour combinations. I love making special pieces that use eco-friendly reclaimed gemstones that have been rescued from old jewellery being melted down for the metal.

Thank you so much for all the orders and support! I make each and every piece by hand and aim to ship within a week of receiving payment (or up to 2 weeks for items that are custom made). Shipping usually takes 2-3 business days to Canada, 5-8 business days to the US, and up to 13 business days internationally. Packages will be shipped without tracking, unless you decide to upgrade by purchasing express shipping from the 'More' section of our shop. Feel free to ask if you need something urgently and I will give you an honest update :)

We ship via Canada Post. Domestic orders are shipped Expedited with tracking (1-7 business days). US and International orders are shipped using the best available/economical service, which does not include tracking. Orders to the US typically arrive within 6-10 business days and international orders typically arrive within 7 to 16 business days. If you are buying a gift for someone and want us to send the item directly to the recipient, just let us know! We provide free gift wrap and handmade cards/notes by special request! :)

If you need your order to arrive urgently, we recommend that you upgrade to one of our express shipping options by purchasing one of our shipping listings that can be found in the 'More...' section of our shop. Please also send us a conversation to let us know when you need your item by so we can make sure it arrives on time! International orders may be subject to additional customs fees.

Please double check that the address listed on your Etsy account is correct, since that is what we will use as your shipping address.
