Q: Is this model upgradeable? I would like to install 32GB of memory.
A: Unfortunately when you select the 16GB or 32GB at the time of purchase that is what you are stuck with. The RAM is soldered onto the motherboard with no expansion ports. So you cannot upgrade to 32GB if you already have 16GB. Unless you are doing some serious video rendering and running some serious compression I highly doubt you will need the 32GB of RAM If you plan to game I would suspect the Radeon Pro 560X would be the bottleneck before the 16 GB of RAM. A: Bestbuy doesn't have it as of now and I don't think they would have it in future. You are better off ordering from apple as vega graphics is custom order.
A: It is ready to go . You get apple office suit for free with it. You will be ready for browsing , word processing etc. Also photo and video editing with apple native software But all depend on what you will use it for, if you will use it for other than the tasks listed above you might need your own software.
A: The base clock speed of the Core i9 is 2.3 GHz and it can turbo up to 4.0 GHz. The graphics card does contain 4 GB of vram which is of GDDR5 type. The difference between Best Buy and the Apple Store selling this product is that Best Buy offers a variety of accessories, services, and suggestions that could be of great use with this product. The Apple Store is very limited to what they can offer as they only promote what Apple wants people to use.
Q: Is this the 2019 model or a 2018 model?
A: I was told this model is the newest one. It has a Core i9 processor and the previous model was Core i7 i believe. I paid more for this model because it was newer and I needed one that would last me a while to use with my embroidery software that requires a minimum Core i5. I know my Mac will last me a long time so spent the extra money on the newest one. I love it and am very pleased with my purchase.
Q: is this the macbook pro that plays games?
A: Yes, it plays a solid amount of games on it, I ran Minecraft, starcraft 2, WoW, and call of duty BO3 on it with absolutly no issues at all, Haven't tried a lot of newer games, but I imagine it will run a lot of them because it has a dedicated 4gb rx I believe 560x in it. So yes it will play games.
