Rated 5 out of 5 by from 20V DeWALT Blower I purchased the DeWALT 20V Blower with a free 4Ah battery online from Home Depot. I have other tools that use the 20V battery system so it was a no-brainer. It was delivered to my house, THE SAME DAY!! I have used it way more than I thought I would. It has a variable speed trigger, from light breeze to strong blast. It also stands up vertically on its battery end, takes up no floor space. Both are nice features. It has replaced my broom many times now. Very handy when doing reno jobs, or new builds inside or outside. No extension cords, no fumes. I am very happy with my purchase, and I would highly recommend this 20V blower.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Enjoying so far. Works well and uses my batteries Compared to other battery based blowers, I’m happy with this one (you can’t compare to gas). You’ll spend the money on this if you’re already invested in the Deloitte 20v Max system. It feels balanced and the bulls wait is good. Sufficient blowing for dry leaves, grass clippings on patio/driveway, cleaning out garage after a wood project, and chasing the neighbours’ skunk infestation out of your yard from a safe distance. I don’t have time to do a lot of blowing continuously, so I split most jobs over multiple days and charge in between. As such, I can’t comment on battery max runtime but I have no issues.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Blower for a Reasonable Price Bought this to replace a 10 year old echo blower. It works great. Just did 6 to 8 inches of snow effortlessly. The only real weight is the battery. The blower without the nozzle works best on snow. Gives a wider path and moves a larger area. The blowing power is actually quite good compared to my other gas powered blowers. Big plus no mixing gas and smelling like gas when you are finished. Another plus quiet enough the neighbours won’t get excited. I would give it 5 stars except it should come with the 10 ah battery not the 5 ah battery. The 5 ah battery lasted roughly 15 minutes of variable time while the 10 ah lasted roughly 27 minutes with 1 bar left on it. Not really a big issue if you are already married to the DEWALT brand and have extra batteries around. As an honourable mention outside temperature was a sunny minus 31. Great day for testing!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Another warranty claim this blower sucks lol Bought this with a whole suite of Dewalts. 5 & 4 amp hour batteries. This thing only blows for 60 seconds before it tapers off. 3 minutes and it can't blow a leaf off the sidewalk. Both batteries we have the same issue. Even hot swapping them, the low power continues. So it's not the batteries. Also, the 5 amp hour batteries gives about 5 minutes of usage before it flashes as drained. I love DeWalt, have 10 of their tools, but have required warranty service on 3 so far within a year. And I am just an average home owner with minimal usage. I wish I had saved 50% of my money and gone with a light duty company at this point.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Blower I purchased a blower with battery and charger and received a blower with no batter or charger for same price. Unfortunately I needed it so I took it. Then a week later they had the same blower with battery and charger in store for same price I got mine for without the battery and charger . Think it’s disappointing that they told me it is what it is and never once tried to give me discount or anything. They should ship what is purchased and not what is not. The blower itself is okay but thought it would have had a bit more power. I am a carpenter and use it to clean off my tools and customers yards with the dust I make from millwork . Not sure how well it blows leaves

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beyond my expecations Just picked this up after seeing home depot was offering a free 3AH battery free with it. So glad I did! I have a few other Dewalt 20V products but only a single 1.3AH battery and it made sense to add to my small collection. This blower, well, blows me away! I tested it on both a fully-charged old 1.3AH battery as well as the new 3AH battery (after fully charging it). Here are the results for clearing dry October leaves (minutes:seconds) 1.3AH... full power for 2:20, then fades and quits at 2:43 3.0AH... full power for 7:11, then fades and quits at 7:26. So the 1.3 has lots of juice for a quick clearing of a large back deck or front porch and sidewalk. The 3.0 will clear a small lawn or double driveway and then some. I'll keep my old corded blower for the big yard. This cordless has loads of power and is no less effective for moving leaves than the old 12 amp Weedeater Barracuda. Clearing my back deck in 2 minutes, no cords or brooms? It's not a chore anymore!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent power, bring batteries! I replaced a corded blower with this one. Was pleasantly surprised at how effective this is. I leave the concentrator installed all the time and it moves all but the wettest leaves with ease. A 5ah battery only lasts about 10-15 minutes of continuous use, but to me that makes sense, more force out the nozzle has to come from somewhere and I get a lot more done in that time than I did with my old blower. Exhausted batteries have to cool down before recharging (charger will flash yellow for a while) so for me, three batteries are needed to get my (average size) front and back yard done.

Will the 2Ah batteries that came with my Dewalt 20AMP drill last very long with this blower or do I need to buy a 5Ah one?

Asked by: Anne
The draw of this tool is far more than what a 2ah will provide. A 2ah battery would only last a few minutes, you're better off getting a larger battery, at least 4ah.

I just picked up the model DCBL722B leaf blower and I know it is rated as being 66 dBa, but it was fairly loud with a high pitched ring. Is this normal for this blower?

Asked by: Pat in Kelowna
Hello Pat in Kelowna Thank you for your contact. We apologize for any trouble or inconvenience in finding information. A ringing noise can be cause by dirt or debris. It is recommended to blow out the air vents at least once a week and check for any blockages. The overall noise level is generally around the level of a hair dryer. DEWALT does recommend to wear hearing protection at all times while operating the blower. Best Regards Sherri C DEWALT
