About

Adi Oasis on Tour

French-Caribbean singer and bassist Adi Oasis (formerly known as Adeline) fuses '70s soul with R&B, funk and soul to create a sound that's decidedly her own. With her smooth, honey-tinged voice and her bold performance style, she's been winning over fans across the globe.

After honing her chops in other people's bands for several years, she went out on her own in 2018, releasing a critically acclaimed album and two EPs. She's collaborated with numerous artists, including Chet Faker, the Shapeshifters and Blue Lab Beats and toured with the likes of Anderson .Paak, Keyshia Cole, JUNGLE, and Big Freedia. She also writes and produces under the name Nightshade with her partner Morgan Wiley.

Adi Oasis' 2021 self-titled EP features the popular single "Whisper My Name," and in 2022 she released "Red to Violet" (featuring Jamila Woods), which she says is a groove-laden manifesto embracing female empowerment, and an homage to Black and Brown women and gender non-binary people around the world.

Don't miss Adi Oasis' sensual and sensational live shows when she comes to a city near you.

Adi Oasis Live in Concert

Adi Oasis was born and raised in a musical family in Paris to a French mother and Caribbean father. She began performing when she was just 5 years old and always believed she would become a singer. She gained some experience performing in children's choirs for the French equivalent of the Mickey Mouse Show when she was very young.

Adi Oasis ended up moving from Paris to New York when she was 18 to pursue a career in music, but before her music career took off she worked as a bartender and a model. She found a job singing backup in CeeLo Green's band and one day picked up the bass guitar when a hired bassist didn't show up for a gig. "You don't choose who you love," she says of the bass. "When I started playing it, it felt like I'd found myself. It's not easy to explain, it just made sense. It was the answer to something I didn't know what I was looking for."

Citing Rick James and George Clinton as influences, she gives credit to African-American artists for creating music that has resonated with and inspired people around the world, herself included.
