So WARM, but too big

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it
Size Bought:
small
Weight:

So warm! I ordered Small anticipating to wear layers underneath, but it was too big and gapped in the chest and armpit area. I should have gotten the XS like the one I lost, but they sold out.

Going to Norway in late May to hike and bought this after much time spent looking at reviews. It seems very warm considering it’s weight. My husband also bought one and he agrees. I will still layer, but this jacket will keep me warm with minimum layers.

Great jacket!

Received the Fitzroy hoodie today. I’m 95lbs with muscular arms and a long waist. The XS is comfortable. The jacket is super cozy and seems it will go with just about anything. I live in a town where I do most things on foot, so the pockets are awesome. I look forward to enjoying the jacket for the rest of the winter, and years to come. Thanks to Backcountry for always carrying the best gear!

Leaks feathers!

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I also noticed a few weeks of wearing it that the feathers are coming out everywhere! Please do your research! It’s not worth $400. It looks and feels good but it must have a defective material in it/- I’m thinking the outer “recycled” covering isn’t good.

Frickin' Warm

Familiarity:

XXL

It's *almost* too warm (but I run hot, so take that with a grain of salt). It's INCREDIBLY comfortable. Great fit. VERY LIGHT for its size and warmth. (Makes it a great multi-purpose coat for travel in the winter, too). Very happy to see some extended sizes offered. (The XL would probably fit, but I appreciate something that gives my hips more room to breath.) I have been wearing it around town, but fully expect it will be invaluable for cold-nights while desert camping, and hut/yurt trips. I can verify it properly sheds water in some light rain. The only small complaint I have is that I've already seen a couple feathers poking out some seams.

Defective product?

I bought this jacket and I was extremely excited. It was warm and actually very flattering. After around a couple of weeks of use, it seemed the filling in the sleeves was completely gone and flat, so it didn't keep me warm at all. I feel $400 should provide a jacket that doesn't fall apart after a couple of weeks. I hope it was just the jacket I received, but I was very disappointed.
