Great TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m very happy with my new 50” Samsung TV. Has a great picture and good sound - I bought it because it came with an attractive pedestal stand, not those George Jetson antenna style legs. Set up was a breeze with The Geek Squad! Thanks Best Buy!

Xbox x and PS5 users beware!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are buying this 50 inch Q80A for VRR ie 4k 120hz for your new Xbox X or PS5 buyer beware. Even through its advertised on Samsungs website as having VRR 120hz it does not. I found out the hard way after puchaaing here on the website. According to the Samsung rep that haunts the Best Buy website the 55 inch models do but not this one. Sad for me that I am stuck with this TV that does less than model that I attended to replace it with. Thats a Vizio that has 60fps , HDR10 and Dolby for gaming which this one does not. I bought this one for the supposed VRR 120hz which in my attached screenshot I show it being advertised as such on Samsungs website. Sad that my research before buying was futile. Just be cautious buyer, of your buying for why I did you wont be happy.

Great tv
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent tv. Picture is great. People sometimes give the operating system a hard time but I think it has been really great and easy to use. Speakers are decent, a lot better sounding than an older Samsung that we have, but eventually we will get a soundbar. The only thing that wasn’t good was Alexa. Just could not get it to work right, but maybe that is the operator.

A great TV.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had it shipped to my address and it was still in perfect shape upon arrival. TV is almost plug and play. I set it up myself. Sound is great, Picture is breathtaking. You can play with the settings to make it to whatever you prefer, warm tones, bright tones and so on. I will enjoy many hours of watching tv and movies as soon as I find the time. lol

Great picture
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to replace an older Samsung from about seven years ago and the picture is even better (not surprising given time and tech advances). I had some issues setting it up (got stuck at step three after I signed in to my Samsung account) and I'm not sure I need to be able to control my TV with my phone? I get that if I lose the remote I'm screwed as there are no physical controls on the TV like they used to have. I do wish I could connect some 'legacy' inputs (there's only HDMI and coax for an antenna input) but I also get that time marches on and there are adapters to be able to connect my laserdisc player to the new TV. I installed this in my living room, which does get a fair amount of ambient light through windows and the picture is vibrant enough I can watch shows that a re pretty dark and still have definition. Yes - there a cheaper sets on the market (I paid ~$800 or so?) but I do feel that compared to the lower priced models out there the picture quality is noticeably better.

Q: QuestionRegarding the QN80A in the 50" screen size, is the panel a VA panel, IPS, or ADS? - Don
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer This is the same guy who asked the question. I meant Q80A, in the 50" size. My research (Rtings.com) says that the 50" and the 85" models have VA panels, and all models in-between have ADS panels, which are similar to IPS. I'm int'd in the 50" BECAUSE of the VA panel, (as well as other features-) for it's improved contrast ratio and blacks, even at the expense of viewing angle. I'm just fishing for someone in-the-know to confirm that the 50" does indeed have the VA panel. Finally, I've noticed a lot of tap-dancing around the subject of whether the 50" has the much-desired 120Hz@4K ability, VRR, and HDMI 2.1. Samsung, you're #1, don't be disingenuous. It's beneath you. The answer, rather than referring everyone straight to the 55" version, is that NO, THE 50" DOES NOT HAVE THOSE FEATURES. See, that wasn't so hard, was it...?

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the Samsung Class Q60A and Class Q80A?
Asked by NancyD.
- A:Answer NancyD - The Q60A is the first model in our 4K QLED lineup. It does come in the widest variety of sizes. When stepping up to the Q70A, you gain the advantage of our Quantum Processor 4K with Machine Learning AI. You step up the clarity and smoothness of your 4K picture with an ultra-fast processor that adapts to each and every scene, no matter what the source. You also gain the advantage of Motion Xcelerator Turbo+ which allows you to see action scenes, sports, and gaming with minimized motion blur. Motion Xcelerator Turbo+ supports advanced features like FreeSync Premium Pro for best game play available. When stepping up to the Q80A, you will gain Quantum HDR 12X and Direct Full Array Backlighting, giving you an extensive range of contrast with deep blacks and pure whites, as well as Freesync Premium Pro for an enhanced gaming experience. The Q80A also features Object Tracking Sound which utilizes 4 speakers, providing a complete experience by placing sound exactly where objects appear on-screen and optimizes sound based on the scene. ^Gina
