About Future Crib

Future Crib began in 2017 with the self release of "Stevie B." A solo endeavor of Johnny Hopson, it grew to include a a rotating cast of 30 musicians in the greater Nashville area. Their second release, "Beamish," was recorded during this time. The band eventually settled into a steady lineup of Johnny Hopson, Julia Anderson, Bryce DuBray, and Noah Pope, recording "Friends" and touring between work and classes during 2018 and 2019. This period also saw the addition of George Rezek after joining the band for a 2019 tour. During the pandemic, the band pieced together demos and re-worked recordings to create "Silverdays," a 12 minute run-time with an accompanying visual art book directed by friend and tour manager Daniel Shipp. The band also made time in 2020 to record "Full Time Smile," a collection of songs that had been set aside to record all at once, and the only Future Crib release to feature all five members recording live takes. 2021 and 2022 saw the release of "Full Time Smile" and the heaviest touring thus-far. In 2022, Pope amicably separated from the band to focus on solo endeavors. The remaining four members continue to record and tour in 2023.
