About the work

I often drive along forgotten country roads. Sometimes I'm in search of a place to breath fresh air. Often animals. I connect with them and taking their pictures is a way to savor that connection longer. I want to share with others the emotions and beauty of otherwise seemingly ordinary animals. This print was from exactly that type of drive. It was a crisp day. I stumbled upon this grazing herd of long-horned cattle. I sat and observed them for a long while. Watching them interact. Watching them watch me. This particular cow was wary but kind and I was able to catch this picture before she rejoined her herd.
