Product details

The handle can be mounted in two different positions – straight up to give the beginner a lot of support, and slightly angled so the walker is easier to roll when the child gains more self-confidence.

The wheels can be adjusted to roll with some resistance – or smoothly when the child walks with more confidence.

On the walker's flatbed, your child can load and drive around with their favorite things.

Walking on one’s own trains things like motor skills and balance.

The UPPSTÅ series is created to help your child learn and discover, and it has various figures from the forest inspired by our Scandinavian roots.

At this age, children learn with all their senses. Structures, sounds and different colors and patterns enhance the child's experiences when playing.

Recommend!SaraBoth of our kids have used this and we adjusted as their walking improved. It's been a solid toy for the last 3 years. My kids are now 2 and 4 and the 4 year old will push the 2 year old around, in the house and on sidewalks. It is one of their favorites and holds up well. Delivers cookies to neighbors perfectly too.5

Who is on the move…SusanSimply the cutest little walker! Bought it for our grandson who is up cruising, but he’s not quite ready for it as there’s not much resistance with the wheels and it gets away from him. Solidly made and went together easily. I’m sure he will love it and push his toys in it once he’s a little more steady on his feet.4
Was great for our grandson.JanaWas great for our grandson. Much sturdier than a lot of the plastic junk that is out there now.5

Play – both fun and necessary

Small children are experts at learning while having fun. By playing, they practice motor skills and coordination, train logical thinking and conquer lots of new abilities. UPPSTÅ is a series of toys specially developed for that early play – and everyone who loves to feel, bang, stack and pull.

When you pull the happy hedgehog’s string, and it rolls forward, you can hear a clicking sound from its spinning round belly. “As soon as you stop, the hedgehog goes quiet. For the child, it’s an exciting confirmation that it can make the sound itself, explains designer Henrik Johansson.

Explore through play

Henrik has designed toys for more than 20 years – to him, children’s play is something to take very seriously. “Play is a way for the child to discover its surroundings. To us adults, it’s often important to do things the right way, like stacking blocks in a certain order. But to the child, it isn’t always the result that counts, but the exploration of how the blocks can be stacked.” The toy hammering block is a classic toy for curious little hands. “Apart from the fact that it’s fun to bang on the plugs, it’s exciting to see what happens if you use more strength. At the same time, the child trains its eye-hand coordination.

Toys that last

Playing isn’t only a matter of motor skills and logical thinking – imagination is also important. With its characters and illustrations, the UPPSTÅ series is a tale about a forest world that you can make up stories around. “We want to inspire open and diversified play that lasts long. By choosing durable materials and colors, the UPPSTÅ toys can be around for many years.” So, in a couple of years, maybe it’s a younger sibling or friend who stacks rings and take the first steps with the toddler walker.

Material

What is solid wood?

Solid wood is one of our favorite materials and is part of our Scandinavian heritage. It is also a timeless material with many uses. Regardless of the tree species, it is durable, beautiful and renewable. We strive to use this raw material as smartly and efficiently as possible to avoid waste – and we also invest in facilities and logistics so that we can increase the use of recycled wood.

Function solution

Toys for small children

It varies when a child starts walking, but a toddler walker provides good support those first times when their legs are still slightly unsteady. In the second year, many children run around, climb, play hide-and-seek, throw and roll things. Whatever they do, play develops their fine and gross motor skills, logical thinking and imagination in different ways. Our baby toys for this age group are always non-toxic and carefully tested so that your child can play with them safely.

Designer thoughts

Designer thoughts

“For us, there’s nothing better than being out in a forest – so much inspiration lies in the living room of animals. We’re all also dependent on it, so we must show respect. That’s why we decided to create a forest for children with this message. A colorful fantasy world where all animals love each other and play together. We hope children will like them and play with and sleep close to the figures. Maybe they’ll also awaken curiosity and interest about the future of our forests?”
