My daughter was gifted this for her 4th birthday by her aunt and uncle. Well we had to facetime them when we did the potion and everyone agreed it was awesome, seriously coolest toy ever. Read instructions and it will work right every time. Also my daughter named her mixie Carla, and we have to sleep with her every night!!!

Even when I knew what would happen, the reveal “pop” still surprised me.

I think this is a great gift for a child, it is cute and interactive. I think the potion making is so much fun and the mist option makes it so fun. My biggest gripe is this is a one time experience, you do one potion and you get one animal at the end. I noticed it is rechargeable, so no batteries but for the price it is ridiculous! I see you can purchase more potions to repeat winning the same animal but I just don't know if it is the kind of investment that is practical. As I said it was a lot of fun, my children LOVED it but it was all over within 10minutes, they didn't express much interest in the electronic animal.

I want to give it a 5 but it is too expensive

my daughter loved the surprises and the cute furry friend that babbles away at her. the only thing that was less than great was the confusion of what to do to start off using the culdron. there are tons of instructions and it wasnt charged so we had to wait for that. it just brought down the excitement level when she first opened it to not be able to use it right away. overall it worked great though and she was very pleased with it.

fun and entertaining

Got 2 for the 3 of us girls to play with this Christmas, but one of them didnt ever flip and reveal. We had to manually detach the little griffin from under it. Was also mildly disappointed to see that the same animal comes with seeminlgy all cauldrons. Ideally would have liked to mix it up. Cute experience and idea overall. Can be reset to do over again, although without new refill stuffed animals on the market, I dont really see the point in resetting it. I dont regret doing it, just probably wouldn't spend this kind of money on a one time use toy that didn't even work.

One of them didnt work

My 4 year old asked for this toy for almost a month. So i bought it for her 4th birthday. In my opinion its not worth the money. To my surprise, this thing is flat!

It was packaged completely damaged and destroyed the outside box is completely intact so I left it no sign of damaged went to wrap these gifts and they literally sent and packed up a damaged product to me !

I bought this for my 6 year old daughter and she has been begging for it for over a year. You can imagine the disappointment when it simply would not work. It requires charging and it will not charge. In my internet searches hoping to find a quick solution, it appears that many of the units have defective charging ports.
