This was our second stay, and it was even more amazing than the first. The rainforest vibe feels very private and secluded. The villas are very comfortable and well appointed. Our villa had a beautiful outdoor shower, private pool, plus a large bath inside, and the bed and furnishings were all very comfortable. The nature of the individual accommodations means there’s never many guests around. The service is exceptional in every area. The food is excellent also. And there’s almost never any children around! This is literally the only place we will ever stay on the whole east coast of the Mayan Peninsula.

Located on the coast of Xcalacoco Beach 10 minutes outside of Playa del Carmen, this luxury resort and spa situated in the tropical rainforest features a restaurant. The villas at Viceroy Riviera Maya are furnished with a private kidney-shaped pool and flat-screen TVs with DVD players. Free Wi-Fi is provided and room service is available. This pet-friendly resort hosts a spa and wellness centre offering a hot tub, steam room, and personal massages. Yoga classes take place on the beach. A gym and outdoor pool are also part of the resort’s facilities. A concierge service is available. The passenger ferry to Cozumel is less than 15 minutes from Viceroy Riviera Maya. Xcaret Eco Park is less than 20 minutes from the resort.
