I don't think it will.  Considering everything is to scale of the original console but half the size, I think it just looks like it has a cartridge port but not a real slot.

It "should" - I say this only as I have not found the full specs yet, but prior year models were able to play cartridges...

It's like the NES and PS plug and play systems. It's not for cartridges. The games within are on it's internal drive.

Good system for the price. Old school gaming fun.

It's great to replay those games from the past,this is well made and the emulation is spot on, not that At games crap from the past, I had to get this and the turbo graphics mini but that comes out March 20 ,2020,this mini is about as small as my hand, and just a tad bigger than a controller, I love retro gaming so this is just perfect

Genisis mini

We bought this system for my older son who loves the gen-x gaming systems and of course I play with it because it brings me back to my gaming days!  It has a TON of games pre-installed that would bring any gen-x gamer so much nostalgia and joy. My younger son loves it too, and we have so many gaming systems so Im very happy it gets used.

Perfect for Adults and kids alike

Bought this for my 7 year old for Christmas and she loves it.  Consoles work great (not wireless so just have to pull up some chairs closer to the TV if not sitting on the floor). Lots of games to play and because she's new to it all, there are lots that are too old/advanced for her so will be lots to play going forward.  The bonus is that Tetris is one of the games so I'm thrilled, too, ha ha ha.  Great value.  Walmart online was $25 cheaper than any other posted price.

My son loves Sonic and now he's in Sonic game heaven with this device! I haven't explored the other games yet because of Sonic! Lol. Lots of games for amazing price.

For those games you miss...

Fanstastic little device. Sega did right by this one which was refreshing after that AT Games garbage they were selling before. This system has the quality of my NES Classic and SNES Classic with a few little things that make it even better such as flaps that actually open where the cartridge would go on the original and a volume slide button that actually slides. Both nonfunctional but nice touches and I love the attention to detail. Another cool thing is if you switch the language to a country where it was called the Mega Drive instead of the Genesis the whole menu screen changes and says Mega Drive.  This comes with two controllers which is great as well and if you hold down the start button you can access the save state menu without getting up. Controller cords are still fairly short so you can either get a USB extension or get a wireless controller like the 8BITDO M30 which I got and love. The emulation itself is great with great sound and picture quality too. I definitely would recommend anyone getting this if they have any interest in any of the Genesis games on it.

An Excellent Tribute to the SEGA Genesis

This platform could not be any easier to set up. If you know what HDMI and USB cables are , you can do it in your sleep.  It has all the old obsolete games that are still fun to play like Sonic Hedgehog and Street Fighter.  Keep in mind these are primitive games played on a primitive system like back in the eighties , so don't expect Playstation quality.  But the price is real bargain and it is a good atarter set to see if you like video gaming before spending hundreds of dollars.

Great memories and lots of fun playing the Sega Genesis classics! Bought as a gift for my son, he liked the nostalgia of the graphics

Lots of fun

This thing is a paper weight. Not sure what exactly is its issue, but I have tried different cables, different screens, unplughing and replugging, EVERYTHING. Nothing happens when it is turned on. There is some kind of flaw with the system and until Sega figures this out, there is no point in buying one of these. Maybe the working ones are cool but I don't have $60 to throw away on a Sega Genesis shaped paper weight. Completely useless. Found out lots of people have these issues. Do not waste your time.
