The HART 2-piece pliers set is perfect for using around the house and they are very affordable compared to other brand-name hand tools. The ergonomic handles of the pliers are covered with a thick non-slip coating making them comfortable to hold for extended usage. I needed the 8-inch slip joint pliers almost immediately once I received them to get a stuck lid off of a small bottle of craft paint. The slip joint pliers slid open easily to the correct size for the lid and the teeth gripped the lid perfectly without damaging it. I will use the 6-inch needle nose pliers often for crafts including making jewelry and wire cutting for wreaths and floral arranging. 
The slip joint and needle nose pliers seem to be well constructed of Chrome Vanadium Steel and have a limited lifetime warranty. They work just as well as other sets of pliers that we own and the handles on these are thicker and actually more comfortable to hold.

Nice set of pliers for the home

The HART 2-Piece Pliers Set comes with 6-inch Long Nose Pliers and 8-inch Slip Joint Pliers. These are very well made from high grade steel (listed as Chrome Vanadium Steel CrV) and are quite heavy. The teeth have deep, even grooves that make it easy to grip and hold whatever I am using these on. There is a coating on the handles making these comfortable to hold as well. I have used these on several things from crafting projects (the long nose pliers) to home improvement projects and repairs (both the long nose and the slip joint pliers). The slip joint pliers are easy to switch positions back and forth as needed and they create an extremely large area to hold things with. I have a water valve in the basement I connect a water hose to to fill up the fish tank when it is time for a water change. I have to use pliers to turn it on and off. It needs to be tight otherwise it will leak. These slip joint pliers get the job done and I don't hurt my hand while using them. I would recommend trying these out for whatever you need pliers for.

Heavy, strong, well made

The Hart pliers work very well for most projects that need bolts tightened and untightened. The rubber grip on the handle makes it comfortable to use and get the job done. I used them to tighten up the bolts on my rower and they work perfectly for that. They look very premium and are easy to use. The Hart long nose pliers also are of very good quality. These are great for projects requiring a long nose style like holding wires and getting into small spaces. I am able to use these to get charging cables that get broken and stuck in the ipad charging port. They are very easy to use and have a great comfort grip that makes the job easier.

High quality, comfortable grip

These arrived just in time. I used the long nose pliers to grip and remove a stripper screw from the wall. No slipping, grip was tight, and comfortable handles what more can I say. 
Tested the other pliers on a nut and bolt and worked like a charm. 
Never tried Hard brand tools, but I will now.

Pliers!

These Hart pliers are very good. They are well built and sturdy. The 6 inch tool is a long nose plier. The 8 inch is your slip joint. They have a Lifetime Warranty. The contact information regarding the warranty is on the package. The Comfort Grip Handles are ergonomic with a non slip grip. They are constructed with Chrome Vanadium Steel (CrV) for added strength and longer life of teeth. That's high grade steel. The price is fair, I would recommend.

2 set Pliers 6in and 8inch

This 2 piece set of pliers includes a 6 inch long nose which comes in handy to reach to hard to reach places to pull or grip. It also includes an 8 inch slip joint which is extra strong for gripping or handling tough jobs. Both are made of chrome vanadium steel for added strength and longer life of teeth. I found that working with both was easy and felt comfortable because of ergonomic comfort grip handle which are also covered in non slip. I would recommend this pliers set

STRONG AND DURABLE

Both my husband and I have performed some general maintenance tasks around our home using the HART 2-Piece Pliers Set - 6-inch Long Nose and 8-inch Slip Joint. We find them to be well-made, durable, they have a good grip on them, and we feel that they will bring us years of use.

Durable and well made!

I really like the look of these. They will stand out from all the other silver tools and make it easier to grab at a fast glance. It would be nicer if the rubber coating on the handles had a little texture for a better grip. I like the limited life warranty but not that they are made in China. The Chrome Vanadium Steel for added strength is a definite plus and I see this set out lasting me. The teethe on the pliers are aggressive and sharp. I don't think I've ever seen a pair of pliers with such teeth.

Very nice looking and functional

This is a well designed and solid made set of pliers that work efficiently. The set includes the 2 most used types of pliers; a 6 inch long nose,(great for reaching into tight spaces and bending and cutting wires), and a 8 inch slip joint, (great for gripping and holding small objects). They are made from high-grade chrome vanadium steel so I know that with proper care they will last me for many years. The tools feel sturdy and durable in my hand as well as while working with them. I especially like that both pieces have broad rounded handles that are covered with a smooth rubber grip, it keeps my hands from slipping and it also helps me to prevent any electrical shocks incase I touch any live wires by accident. The center joints are solid and move smoothly. The teeth/ jaws have proper alignment on both. They both have come in handy around my house helping me perform many everyday tasks, whether it was fixing a bicycle or repairing a bit of wiring. I highly recommend this set of tools, they would be especially helpful for someone just starting out on their own. Also, it's really neat that they come with a limited lifetime warranty.

Rubber grip handles!

I use the cutter portion of the needle nose to snip string trimmer line and the nose bit to bend electrical when need be. Haven't had a use for the slip joints yet but they're definitely an upgrade from an old pair of black %26 decker slip joints I had.

Good sizing.
