Great inexpensive upgrade
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m very pleased with this speaker. With the expectation that it is the right size for my medium sized living room. It was an inexpensive upgrade from the built in tv speakers. I liked it so much that I bought a second one for the kids playroom at the same sale price. The living room is using the fiber optic cable and the playroom uses the RCA cables that it came with, no complaints with either. The sound is great. Keep in mind, without a proper subwoofer you won’t have movie theater levels but that would be expecting too much.

Good for the price
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sound quality is good but had to hardwire it. I could never get this synced to my smart tv. Remote not the best since it has volume up button which clicks up/down and volume down which is the same. Not a huge deal but nearly blew out our ears until we built that remote memory

Soundbar review
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great working, cool sound with lots of inputs to choose from. Bluetooth capability also, great value and cool for a small room. The remote is great and has a bass mode for loudness.

Clear sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This soundbar has a very clear sound, with a remote control of course, I love the sound volumes that you can adjust via the remote. I also use it with a splitter with wireless headphones when I want to watch without annoying others, and it works nicely. The buttons are big enough not small as a previous system I had, you can mute, turn on and off, adjust volume.

Q: QuestionWe often have trouble hearing the dialog when watching a movie even turning on the captions sometimes. Will a sound bar make this issue worse or better?
Asked by flightline33.
- A:Answer we had the same issue after buying our tv...the tv has 16 watts on its own but is just not loud enough to clearly hear all the dialog on many shows...best buy did tell us this could be a problem but we thought we would be ok....hooked up some powered speakers and that improved the volume but not a space saving way of doing things...saw best buy advertising some really good prices on these insignia soundbars and since we have an insignia tv we thought we would give it a try....and yes the soundbar is a major improvement...definitely the way to go....

Q: QuestionI have a Samsung 55" 4K uhd smart tv model UN55MU6290F, I bought an Insignia 2.0 soundbar NS-HSB318. I pluged the soundbar to the tv but I get no sound. Is this soundbar compatible with the tv? Or is there another connecting wire/cable I need?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer You may have fixed it by now but have you set the audio output on your TV to whatever input your using on the sound bar?

Q: QuestionDoes this sound bar power on when the TV is turned on? I need a simple sound bar that connects to a Roku based TV, and turns on with the TV.

Q: QuestionHow many watts would the 2.0 equall
Asked by curious.
- A:Answer I was told earlier today by an Insignia tech support representative when I asked this very same question that "each" of the speakers has 20 watts or a total of 40 watts; however, under the product description, indication is made that this Insignia soundbar model NS-HSB318 has only one (1) speaker I believe. I think that it would be wise to mention the total watt information in the product's specification's list as is done with the older Insignia soundbar--model NS-SB316. That soundbar claims to put out 39 watts and its specification rendering states that it, also, has one speaker. I read criticisms of certain soundbars that they don't have a setting devoted to "music" and this is a turn off for some people. I don't believe that this soundbar has a "music" setting, but I could be wrong.

Q: QuestionI have a TV that does not have blue tooth capability. If I connect this soundbar to my TV, would I be able to use my headphones using bluetooth? In essence, making my TV Bluetooth compatible to use my headphones to watch programs. thanks
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No. The Bluetooth input on the soundbar is only for audio in. You can use it to play audio from a device, like a phone or tablet.

Q: QuestionI have this connected to my TCL 4K Roku TV via the 3.5mm aux cable. Audio works, but I hear buzzing/white noise when I put the TV on mute or whenever there is no dialogue playing. Any idea how to fix it? This TV does not have RCA audio output.
Asked by kcasey95.
- A:Answer Have you tried to hook it up using an optical cable instead? You can pick up a cheap 4-foot Dynex optical cable from BB for less than $5. I would try going with optical audio and not waste too much time trying to figure out the cause of the interference and noise using a 3.5 connection until you've tried optical.

Q: QuestionHooked up this sound bar through optical cable and everything works great. Until I open Netflix it blares this awful sound until I exit the app. It does it through the Netflix app on the tv and when I use it through the fire stick. Any help?
Asked by Vic.
- A:Answer Yes, change the sound output on the TV to PCM. Had the same problem and that fixed it.
