My granddaughter cannot quite sit up by herself yet, but she's almost there! When that happens, this will be a great toy for her to sit on and be with the family. She already loves the horse's face (she pulls it toward her and hugged it) and she investigates all of the enticing attachments. It's a great addition!

A little big for my six months old grandson but he loves it and loves it when his daddy hold him on. Although he is big and quite agile, it is just too wide and two tall for his little legs. But he will grow into it and absolutely loves it. I already ordered it again for my nine-month-old granddaughter and can't wait for it to get there for her

Wonderful for multiple ages

I just ordered this for our granddaughter turning one. It is very well made. The noise it makes by squeezing the ear is fun. There are other little things to make it 'interactive' with the four hooves, and the zipper on the side. Walmart offered this for a much better price than the hardware store in a nearby town that I first saw this at.

Very well made gift for a young child.

We bought this for my grandniece for Christmas. My daughter being an equestrian thought it was great! I try to give the young children in our family educational, learning and fun gifts plus the horse character is an added bonus! The quality of Melissa & Doug products is exceptional from past experiences!

More of a pillow than a toy

I was so excited to get this for my nieces - However, while they enjoy playing with random parts of it, they can't really sit on it like I'd hoped. It's pretty squishy and topples over super easily. A fun toy but I don't really think it was worth the price... So many other things from M&D I love much more.

Wish it was a little sturdier

The quality of this toy appears to be good. My granddaughter hasn't played with it yet so I don't know how it will hold up. I was very dissapointed in the battery mechanism. We had to damage the plastic casing for the batteries to get it open. The screws are of very poor quality. For a toy this expensive, I would recommend revisiting your supplier. We had to tape it shut and slide the battery housing back up into the toy. Hopefully my daughter will not have to change the batteries very often. If this gives us issues I will be sending it back.

The animal is cute but battery housing unusable- screws

It's a plush toy masquerading as an interactive rocking horse. It's neither interactive nor a good rocking horse. It has far too little structure to be suitable for riding on. It only makes sound if you squeeze a very small section on the ear. Most of the M & D toys are well designed and thoughtful. This one isn't.
