- Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2023Well, the DSS Games "My Ex" is a fun game but you really have to play it with girlfriends you trust and away from any current significant others. Some of the cards didn't really apply (and seemed like they were reaching to find something to put into the game) but we just passed over the weird ones. It was fun to play and - of course - revealing for the participants. I'm not sure it was theraputic but it was definitely interesting. Probably would make a better gag gift than an actual game you want to play again and again.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2022"played" this with a few girlfriends. It was fun and we all had a good laugh, but I don't imagine this is a game that can be played time and time again, as we've all already heard all the "dirt." I'll have to gift this to someone next year.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2025It's not a game but more of a whine about your ex to card prompts, seems to be written by a woman for women who had several break ups because as a guy I found many of the questions really awkward and hard to understand what it was asking. Most of the time it seems like it will bring up bad feelings and devolve and just has a very negative aura about it. I can see how some people might like it but I think the money would be better spent on something else in my opinion.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2022While not exactly what I expected (a game), this is still an entertaining little pack. This comes with 101 different subjects to reminisce about your ex relationships.
I got this right as I was getting out of a 12 year relationship. Honestly, if nothing else, thinking about some subjects these cards bring up made me realize how I’m better off alone. Like I said, there isn’t much of a “game” here. The instructions just say to gather friends, go through the cards, and talk about them.
One way to play is to shuffle the cards, hand out 5 to each person, and pick one topic that everyone has to talk about. You can turn it into a drinking game akin to Truth or Dare, whereas if you don’t want to answer a question, you have to drink (or do a dare, if you want to go down that route). If you have more than a couple people, you can have one person pick a card, everyone else has to give a story around that topic, and whoever picked the card gives a point to whoever had the best/most interesting/most embarrassing story.
The cards themselves are nicely designed. They’re pretty basic and small, but thick enough to shuffle. While I wouldn’t consider this a good “game night” game for everyone, it has its charm, and I can definitely recommend this.
