Vanilla paste excited to use this Holiday season.

We use the vanilla paste in lieu of vanilla extract in recipes because it gives the final pancakes/muffins/cookies an extra boost of vanilla flavor. We have purchased this brand before and liked the results.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Yummmy, who doesn't love the flavor of vanilla!? I happened to have some over ripe bananas and used those to make some banana bread. I knew adding this vanilla paste to my recipe would only improve the taste and boy I was right. I am a sucker for sweets but I love when my sweets are natural based. Why would I use imitation vanilla when I could use the real deal!?

I used this for a shortbread recipe.  Initially when I used it for ice cream I felt like the flavor did not come through. However, what I did was I stirred it with my half teaspoon before I scooped it up, and sure enough the flavor came through, and the look of the vanilla beans gave the cookies a nice, natural touch

I always use pure vanilla extract, yet the alcohol taste and scent are unpleasant. Thus, in the past, I have occasionally used vanilla bean instead. This product is the best of both worlds! It has the deep and rich taste of vanilla beans without the labor. This is my first time using vanilla paste and I am hooked! I expected a thick paste-like consistency, yet it is more like a syrup. It is easy to use, and 1 tsp of the paste is equal to 1tsp of the extract. The taste is authentic and has no alcohol aftertaste. The vanilla beans specs are a plus. I made chocolate chip chocolate bars and they tasted rich and better than homemade! I cannot wait to use it in my other recipes. There are also recipe offerings at rodellekitchen.com/recipes to expand your recipe collection.  The ingredients are simple, and it is gluten free for those who cannot tolerate gluten. This would make a great gift for any baker!

I've been using Rodelle vanilla bean paste for a few years, and it has become a pantry staple in my home! It's super versatile, and the quality really can't be beat! Perfect for adding a little something extra to vanilla flavored treats— clean vanilla flavor, with flecks of beautiful vanilla bean!

Smells nice. Rich and well rounded scent. Thick consistency. I like the smell and taste but wish it were a bit stronger. Made the chocolate chip cookie recipe from rodelles website using this and it's pretty delicious. Also cooks well in my toffee. Probably will buy again

Good but wish it were stronger

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried this vanilla paste for the first time in my grandma's pizzelle recipe. My nephew likes them vanilla-only flavored so I was looking forward to seeing if they would end up with a stronger flavor. The instructions say to use a 1:1 ratio to vanilla extract. I found I was adding more to up the flavor, though. The consistency is thicker than extract, but still runny. You can also see the vanilla bean specks in the dough once incorporated. Flavor wise, I wasn't disappointed, but I wasn't wowed either.

Not a thick paste! Mild vanilla flavor!

It hardly even smells like vanilla. its weird and syrupy not a paste. I made muffins for breakfast, just 6 from scratch. I added a teaspoon of this vanilla, taste batter no vanilla flavor, 3 teaspoon's later still no vanilla flavor. At this point the batter is brownish from added "vanilla" and has no vanilla flavor.  Bake muffins anyway.  Guess what, no vanilla flavor. Not buying this again...
