WTF is Autophagy?

As we age we accumulate zombie cells - old damaged cells that linger beyond their useful life. These zombie cells infect other healthy cells, speeding up the aging process. Everything from hair loss, wrinkles, arthritis, cancer, dementia and so on (aging) occurs.

What scientists have realized is that when we induce autophagy, these zombie cells are starved of energy and die, so your future looks healthier and longer.

  • Oxidative Stress

As we age, it becomes increasingly important to maximize our cellular health, and ensure our cells are functioning optimally – after all, our body is made up of trillions of cells that form our tissues, which form our organs, and which dictate many facets of our overall health. Unfortunately, cells often go awry due to disease, the aging processes, oxidative stress and environmental exposures: our diet, lack of nutrients, lack of oxygen, any exposure to toxins, and much more. Cellular damage can lead to chronic inflammation and accelerated aging.

  • Promoting Autophagy

The promotion of cellular health and clean-up is necessary to slow the processes of aging, as well as to prevent chronic inflammation and the development of disease. In promoting optimal cellular health it is important to promote proper regulation of autophagy, apoptosis, mitophagy, and mitochondrial biogenesis as well as to prevent long-term oxidative stress which causes cellular damage, dysfunction and inflammation.

CLEAN BEING

Formulated with evidence-based ingredients to promote natural clean up processes like autophagy and apoptosis to support healthy aging, and help prevent chronic inflammation and the development of diseases.

Heart

Spermidine levels related to dietary uptake have been shown to protect from cardiac aging.

In a human cohort, a higher combined dietary intake of spermidine and spermine correlated with a lower rate of cardiovascular disease. After spermidine supplementation, individuals in the higher tertile of spermidine intake also had lower blood pressure

10.1038/nature05292

In mice, spermidine was also shown to reduce dementia (in a mouse model of frontotemporal lobar dementia).

10.1073/pnas.1206362109

Across various animal and cell studies, luteolin has been shown to have neuroprotective effects and to support nerve development. This effect is likely due to luteolin’s ability to reduce glutamate levels, suppress brain inflammation and deter oxidative stress. These benefits support hippocampal neuron growth and prevent the mutation of neural proteins.

Inflammation

In animal studies, luteolin has been shown to prevent inflammation of the lungs, nose and brain via the inhibition of pro-inflammatory cytokines.

In mice, luteolin also prevents viral-induced inflammation in the breast and lung.

Quercetin and its derivatives ability to fight inflammation, as well as to activate NrF2, increase glutathione levels, and scavenge free radicals, is one of its main mechanisms of conferring health benefits.

Immunity

Luteolin supplementation has been shown to enhance the immune system in various ways. In animal studies, luteolin blocks lipopolysaccharide-induced (LPS) inflammation which is associated with bacterial infection.

Luteolin has also been found to inhibit viral spread in mice, including both Epstein-Barr and hepatitis B . A cell study also supports this evidence, suggesting that luteolin has antiviral capacities against Japanese encephalitis virus.

Mimetic

Spermidine is also considered a calorie-restriction mimetic, meaning that it is thought to mimic the health benefits of calorie restriction(CR)(enhanced longevity) by impacting similar mechanisms as CR. One of the main health-promoting mechanisms of CR is autophagy, which clears cells of damage, and is critical for cellular homeostasis as well as preventing cells from going awol.

  • Spermidine

Spermidine reduces inflammation, improves cognition, and has shown to have protective effects from neurodegeneration. Studies show it boosts immunity and helps prevent age-associated cardiovascular disease. Humans with higher levels of spermidine have a 5 year increase in life expectancy, as reflected in a 20-year epidemiological study. However, spermidine levels decrease with age, but can be increased by supplementation💥

  • Luteolin

Luteolin is believed to confer longevity benefits, as it has multiple biological effects such as anti-inflammation, anti-allergy and anti-cancer, luteolin functions as either an antioxidant or a pro-oxidant biochemically ⭐️

  • Dihydroquercetin

Dihydroquercetin, derived from quercetin, has superior absorption and bioavailability, entering the bloodstream faster. It plays a vital role in supporting the health and functionality of cells, while also assisting the body in maintaining proper protein function and stability⚡️

I started Taking Cell Being First

I started taking Cell Being first and did that change my life for the better. I have been doing Clean Being for 22 days now and do feel better, but I am not sure if it is because of the Cell Being working better or a combination of taking the 2. I do plan to continue taking this though as I do feel better than when I was only taking the Cell Being. I am 50 and feel like I recover better from workouts. Not like when I was 20, but better than the last couple of years for sure.

FAQ

Why does Clean Being use dihydroquercetin and not regular quercetin?

Dihydroquercetin has higher absorption and bioavailability when compared to quercetin - it is able to enter the bloodstream faster.

What is autophagy?

Autophagy is a cellular clean-up, salvage and recycling mechanism which removes damaged cells (including diseased cells) and cellular parts, in order to promote the proper functioning of cells.

Why is autophagy important?

If autophagy is dysregulated this can lead to oxidative stress, chronic inflammation and disease. As we age, autophagy declines. Therefore, in order to prevent the processes of aging, diseases of aging and to ensure optimal cellular function, supporting proper regulation of autophagy is important.

What is apoptosis?

Apoptosis is a necessary cellular process to end a cell's life; it is known as ‘programmed cell death’.

This built-in cellular process is necessary to eliminate dysfunctional cells and make way for new healthy cells.

Certain pro-aging cells can develop resistance to apoptosis, such as senescent cells (contribute to disease) and cancer cells. Thus, when apoptosis is not effective, dysfunctional cells can replicate and cancer may develop.

Why is apoptosis important?

The dysregulation of cellular death likely accelerates the aging processes. To support healthy apoptosis, look into fasting, and phytochemicals like: luteolin, resveratrol, spermidine and sulforaphane.

Where are your products made?

We manufacture in an FDA registered and GMP certified facility in the USA.
