Q: Wondering... Do the headphones have to be charged in order to use the wired connection? (3 answers)
A: No power necessary when listening through the cord. They actually have better sound quality, as opposed to listening through Blue Tooth and Noise Canceling. All the excess electronic processing degrades sound quality.- A: They can be used with cellphones and PCs however I don’t think they’re connectable with all smart TVs

The WH1000XM3 has a frequency response of 4 Hz-40,000 Hz, an optional gold-plated L-shaped stereo mini plug, lesser charging time (3 hours/full charge), more noise-canceling functions (PERSONAL NC OPTIMIZER and ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE OPTIMIZING) and comes with a Plug Adaptor for In-flight Use. ~Ralph- A: Sony provides better quality in all three that you are asking for. The ear ups are so soft and mold around your ear shape so you can wear them for hours. They’re very easy to use and can control the features of the headphones on the app. You control music playback by hand swipes and taps on the right ear up which is a cool feature that no other competitor offers. Only has two buttons on the left ear up for power and siri, Alexa. You won’t regret it. The build quality is good too.
- A: In my honest opinion, it's a bit of a toss up, the sound is worth the $250 price, but the overall usability of the phone is a but of a turnoff for me. I got them on sale over the Holidays and don't regret my purchase but they were also $150. Knowing what I do now, I would possibly pay $250 for them, as they do sound AMAZING, but with the bluetooth challenges and some other use features, I might not be as happy if I dropped $250 on them.
- A: The noise cancelling, all by itself/without music, is only fair to good (but not great) for reducing typical airplane noises. Although, it's certainly much better when also listening to music, TV, movies, etc..

A: Yes. I used these the other day for a phone call and was told that the sound quality was better than my actual phone. Alexa/Google is included on these as well.
