The last line of the Product Details states "plastic material prevents rust and corrosion". Other than that, nowhere do I find what material it's made from. Because it says it's powder coated to prevent rust, I would ASSUME it's made out of steel.

                    Answer This Question

I've seen similar products (1/2 inch bar thickness) with a maximum axial load on the eye at 700 lbs. Pulling 1000 lbs would be risky.

You might want to stack several anchors, properly connected, in-line with direction of pull.

The anchor worked well. I just screwed it into the ground with a little body weight to encourage it to start. As it got more difficult, I grabbed an old broom handle to give the torque needed to get it flush to the ground.

Good for digging a small hole in the ground.
These are good for digging a small hole into the ground. The buyer must have loose soil to push and turn the rods into the ground. Because they lack the correct angle and sharpness they only spin around on the surface in hard soil.

I have not installed these anchors yet, but they seem solid and well-built. They will go in the ground when a hurricane is on its way, and I feel confident they will do the job that I bought them for. I deducted one star because the anchor is a bent disk, not a true helix.

Was easy to install, looks like they are well built. If using In rocky soil they might be more difficult to install.

Unless you're working in soft ground it will not turn.
